Qiao Yu (1927.11.16-) Jining, Shandong. He is a member of the Chinese **** Party. When he was young, his family lived in straitened circumstances and relied on his older brother to work as a store clerk to make ends meet. During his high school years, he worked as an elementary school teacher, and at the beginning of 1946, he entered the Northern University of Hebei, Luhu and Henan Border Region, where he began to publish poems and novels in the press, and also wrote Yangge Opera.
Qiao Yu graduated from the College of Arts of the Northern University of Hebei, Luhu and Henan Border Region in 1948, and in 1948, when the North China United University merged with the Northern University to form the Northern University of China, he was transferred into the Creative Writing Office of the Third Department of the University of China, and began to compose his works professionally.
Xu Peidong (1954~), a famous lyricist and composer, is the secretary of the party group of the China Music Association, vice-chairman, vice-chairman of the China Light Musicians' Association, a member of the All Committee of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and a council member of the China Overseas Friendship Association. 1970 he joined the Song and Dance Troupe of the Fuzhou Military Region as the chief cello, and 1976 he entered the composition department of the Central Conservatory of Music under the supervision of Prof. Du Mingshen. 1979 he graduated, and returned to Fuzhou Military Region Song and Dance Troupe as the chief cello in the same year. He has served as the director of the creation room and vice president of the China Opera and Dance Drama Theater, etc. He is a national composer and enjoys a special allowance from the State Council.
