I replied: to go to another place and become a "local"
Kunming is a city where the seasons are like spring.
On March 18, as the plane landed, it was my third visit to the city. The first time I came was at night, when a friend picked me up; the second time I accompanied my family on a self-drive, just passing by; and the third time, alone, with one bag and one suitcase, the trip to Kunming officially began.
This time my destination, there are only two - Kunming City, Puzhehehe Village.
Someone will ask, how do you not go to Dali Lijiang? For one thing, I've already been there, and for another, I only want to focus on one place this time, as for how about Dali Lijiang? Let's talk about it when we have time.

Kunming-Chongqing; Changshui Airport Hotel Changshui, Kunming
I chose to arrive in Chongqing a day early because I had to leave early in the morning to go to Kunming from Chongqing, so I stayed at a youth hostel near the airport. This hostel downstairs is a comprehensive shopping mall, food and drink are more convenient, the evening I a sneak to go to the movie "a dog's mission" to see the end.
In fact, to go to each city, you can imagine if you are a local there, you will do something, in different cities to live the life you want to live, so the travel is much more interesting than you travel.
A lot of people see Kunming as a transit point, but in my opinion Kunming, the city of spring, is a city with charm, at least for the few days I lived there, and I enjoyed it.
The weather in Kunming is spring-like in all seasons, it basically doesn't rain much, and the sky is very blue. The architectural differences in Kunming's urban areas are actually quite large, with many high-rise buildings as far as the eye can see, but there are also a few old houses. The first thing you need to do is to get a good deal of time and money.
The road there is very similar to Chengdu, Sichuan, the road is flat and wide, all around the viaducts, and recently built a new subway, which makes it easier to travel, and greatly saves you time on the road compared to before.
For example, if you get off at the airport, you can choose either the airport bus or the 919 series of buses, and the subway is still not open for some reasons. Of course, when you go to Kunming, you may want to place a ****sharing bicycle software in advance, you will find that this is an affordable and very convenient way to travel.
Choosing an accommodation in your favorite style is also a must when traveling. You can look for B&Bs on major websites to determine your favorite style, and it is recommended that you still read the reviews appropriately, which can be a good reference for assessment. The picture above is the rooftop hostel I stayed in Kunming.
Choosing a youth hostel for one thing is to save money on travel, another is to make more friends, the real youth hostel, their bosses are people with stories, and chat with people with stories, you will find that your eyes will slowly increase. In addition, I would like to explain a misunderstanding, not all hostels are just bed rooms, some hostels are also a kind of inn, there are many types of rooms.
To the hostel simple packing, sneak out of the door, because the time is relatively tight, so ready to go to the city's attractions. The first thing I did was to go to the city center to see the Temple of the Elements, Cuihu Lake, and so on.
From the hostel, follow the cell phone map to find the subway entrance, unfortunately, was bypassed. I'm not sure if you're going to be able to find the best way to get around the city, but I'm sure you're going to be able to find the best way to get around the city. Compared to other cities, Kunming's metro ticket machines do not accept coins, as far as I can remember, and will not make up for coins (50.20.10.5.1 these amounts are recognizable).
Seven-colored Yunnan, the subway one-way ticket are so responsive. Very sad to tell you, I forgot where to get off the subway, you travel, you can check the line in advance in Baidu map.
The day I arrived was a weekend, so the road is particularly pedestrian, passing through the Kunming Zoo, is being held in the Cherry Blossom Festival, a sea of people, so I decided to give up directly to Cuihu. In fact, to see the cherry blossoms do not have to enter the zoo, Kunming's main arteries are planted cherry blossoms, maybe just not so much, or to avoid the weekend.
On the way to Cuihu Lake, accidentally passed by the Yuantong Temple, the entrance fee of 6 yuan, with the ticket to receive incense and candles. Yuantong Temple is the largest temple in Kunming, is a very traditional Chinese architectural structure, the concept of the central axis is very obvious. In the middle of the lake there is an octagonal pavilion with eight sides, each with its own unique flavor. The central axis is finally a Western building, similar to the Thai Buddhist architecture, the whole body white, in the period of shuttle there is always a kind of trance in two spaces, intoxicated in the charm of the merger of Chinese and Western cultures.
Cuihu Lake, Kunming's People's Park, is a place where Kunming people like to gather on weekends. Like every park in the city, it accommodates people of all ages, who freely combine to do their favorite things during the shuttle period, unintentionally accomplishing a documentary on the real life of Kunming's folk.
Elderly people took the instruments they were good at, some taught each other, some formed an impromptu orchestra, together with aunts who loved to dance, and the show began. Square dance is also essential, modern ethnic cha-cha-cha, only you can not think of, no they dare not dance.
The children playfully weaved in and out of it, jostling and playing, which should be what childhood looks like, carefree and happy. Others traveled as a family, taking a boat to swing in the lake, while couples were holding hands, looking at the unique beauty of life in Cuihu Lake with happy smiles, perhaps longing for each other's future.
And I, alone, weaving in and out of it, finding the role I want to be, chatting with the grandpas, dancing with people I don't know, taking pictures of the couples, I know, I'm happy.
Army Lecture Hall Just to the east of Cuihu Lake, the yellow building is particularly visible, and it's built in the style of a quadrangle, or a square building with a martial arts training ground in the center. This attraction is free, but closed on Mondays.
I love soldiers, and my first reaction at that time was to see what soldiers were like in ancient times, but unfortunately, this lecture hall is quite different from what I imagined. The first thing you'll see is the history of the lecture hall, why it was built, its purpose and so on, and then after that, it's the excellent cadets in it, as well as the positive effects of the existence of the lecture hall and its impact on the present. In short, it's a history museum.
The only thing I was interested in was a breakdown of the environment in which they lived, the dormitories, the dining hall, the infirmary, the library, the classrooms, the laboratories, the principal's office, and their old test papers. I personally feel that looking at these has a sense of immersion, and I have to say that their dormitory gave me the first impression that it was actually a bit like a "morgue", and there were pictures of it!
The principal's office was superbly located on the second floor, in the middle of the square, with a balcony, a very good view, and the layout is also high class nowadays. About their examination papers, take a closer look, some of the contents of which are used today, I have to say that our old-timers wisdom is extraordinary ah, manual praise.
Yunnan University , a wander two to meet friends, so the photo is not much, Cuihu Lake next to the Yunan University is an old campus, some of the buildings belong to the protection of some of the Chiang Kai-shek lived, and some of them are designed by Lin Weiyin. I personally think, okay, compared to many schools, YunDa is not big at all. But the environment is really good, you can see the cherry blossoms, the sycamore in the fall, and occasionally you can tease the squirrels.
As for the Internet said Culture Lane, in fact, really not good, tattoo parlor special, eat a lot of, this kind of culture lane, I think every university around is there.
After that, I went to Baiyun Road, the cat air and peanut bookstore, I personally, no matter which place to travel, bookstores and markets are a must. The peanut bookstore, the atmosphere is general, its characteristics, the books are placed very casually, classification labels are handwritten, the book description is also all handwritten, the two old bookcases is a highlight, the price is general.
As for the cat's sky city, many cities have, I go every time is to choose postcards, but I sadly found that Kunming's cat empty may be a "fake cat empty", postcards are really too few. I had no choice but to buy blank postcards and make them myself. I'm not sure if you're going to be able to find the right one, but I'm sure you'll be able to find the right one, and I'll be able to find the right one.
Kunming Railway Museum , ticket price of 10 yuan, closed on Monday (museum practice). You can see the process of the development of the railroad, as well as the hardships of the people who used to build the railroad, and a lot of former trains, it's spectacular.
Millet track , seems to be the only train line currently running in the city, the train is not small, but belongs to the old green train, the whole ticket price of two yuan, one-way to do nearly an hour.
Traveling through the city on the train is a unique experience, you will pass by schools, markets, arterial roads, gardens, vegetable plots, and you can see the look of people waiting on the other side of the fence. Life seems to slow down in this way, listening to the sound of wheels and rails hitting each other, headphones come to their favorite music, sunshine, irradiation in your face, the most pleasant life is just like that.
Xishan, from the small meter rail off, across the street can take the bus to Xishan. Because I want to experience the travel of the locals, I decided to give up the tourist bus, and pleasantly and locals like, storming to climb the West Mountain, I will not tell you I was wearing boardshorts and jeans.
Walking up the mountain road, beyond the family with their own pets climbing the mountain, old couples, friends traveling in pairs, of course, there are also like me to climb the mountain alone. And I passed a temple, called Huating Temple, I entered the temple because the door of the couplet: "Around the temple a thousand sounds of pine and bamboo, go out and laugh at the sea and the sky." And my own beliefs have been laughing at life coincides with, so decisively buy tickets into the temple.
The entrance fee is 25 yuan, there are four halls, the most impressive to me is the Luohan Hall. More than two hundred luohan, modeling demeanor is not the same, and in the center is a four-faced thousand-handed Guanyin, hand holding all the Buddhist magic weapon. Bright yellow high walls, the courtyard is silent, monks come from the fated to meet.
Out of the temple is not far from an ancient road, along the steps and up, shuttling in the forest, looking at Dianchi, feeling self seeking. The biggest gain is to see two old people, in the sale of slingshots, the most expensive but ten dollars, each are handmade.
After nearly an hour and a half, about five or six kilometers, the official end of the climbing tour. Open Xishan Longmen tour, tickets 40, electric car round trip 25 (seems to be), would have liked to take the cable car, but overhaul, sad a minute. After entering the scenic area it, but also need to climb the mountain, the estimated straight-line distance of 800 meters, but it is very steep, but the scenery is very good, all angles of Dianchi and Kunming panoramic view.
Down the mountain directly on the Dianchi cable car, I was to go to Ridge Park to see the seagulls, of course, but also to experience cycling. The end of the ropeway can also be to the Nationalities Village, I have been before this time did not go.
Haiji Park is actually not big, I have been riding along Dianchi. Riding more than people, people and cars, but not at all disturb the people around the leisure, some tent camping on the lawn, some picnics, some children playing in the playground, there are newlyweds to take wedding photos, there are singers singing. Along the way, we also passed a lot of concept restaurants with first-class decoration and style.
I got lost in the ride and ended up diverting directly to the nearby Aegean Shopping Center, which is where I was going to go to the Sisyphean bookstore. I said it was nearby, I was actually riding nearly ten kilometers ah. I'm not sure how much I'm going to be able to do, but I'm sure I'll be able to do it in a few hours.
A few books, a notebook, a cup of coffee, perfect, quietly read a book. Unconsciously sinks in, the night falls, when I finished reading, has been more than eight o'clock in the evening, slowly and methodically take the bus home, ha ha, yes, home! At this moment, you must not think you are an outsider.
I like to read books, many people say you can read at home, why go to Kunming to read books, waste of time? The meaning of travel and tourism is different, travel is not to run one attraction after another, but to go to another city to live the life you want, to experience it authentically, to feel the charm of the city.
In that environment of the bookstore, you will see a lot of phenomena of the city, what they do in the bookstore, it seems that you can define the city from the side. Rather, in the process of reading books, in the city gained knowledge, that is another different experience.
My suitcase is never without books, on the plane, on the train, at night before going to bed, walking tired rest time, I like to read books, try to take a book to travel once to see.
Doonan Flower Market, a place where you don't want to go, really want to buy, but unfortunately no car, the courier is too expensive. Here is a very complete variety of succulent, and especially cheap, ten dollars for five, yes, yes. Flowers are calculated in accordance with the pound, dry flowers 15 kilograms, note that is a kilogram, forget-me-not crystal grass lover grass are this price, rose is basically a handful of ten dollars, a handful of ten, and many others. Friends who like flowers, must not miss here.
Guandu Ancient Town , you can stroll, mainly three temples, the middle of it has a tower, I think it's pretty good, the business atmosphere in general, but perhaps because of the temple is more reasons, the majority of ancient buildings, so the sense of immersion is slightly strong, all the temples are free. The old town square there is a theater, personally preferred.
There is also a Golden Horse Square, I just silently went to eat a bowl of thief expensive expensive bridge rice noodles only.
The morning I left Kunming, I took a picture of the sunrise on the roof, I'm not sure I'll go to Kunming after that, but the mood should be different from now, Kunming goodbye!
Every city has its own unique charm, and I like to find the definition of each city in my mind. Some cities make me linger, some make me want to escape. No matter where I am, I always try to be true to myself, and luckily, I always make a lot of interesting friends on my journey.
Unfinished business, stay tuned
