Who Doesn't Know You. Full Poem

I know this poem and I will share it now.

Notes:

Yellow clouds: dark clouds in the sky, in the sunlight, the clouds are dark yellow, so they are called yellow clouds.

White sunset: the sun is dull. Twilight, that is, twilight yellow, refers to the dusky scenery when the sun sinks in the west.

Mo Worry: Don't worry.

Who: which person.

Jun: you, here refers to Dong Da.

Translation

Thousands of miles of yellow clouds cover the sky and the sun is dark and dusky, and the north wind blows the returning geese with heavy snow.

Don't worry about not having a confidant on the road ahead.

Background

This poem was written in the sixth year of Tang Xuanzong's Tianbao reign (747 A.D.), and the identity of the person to whom the poem was written is not yet certain. A remnant volume of the Tang Poetry Selection written at Dunhuang is entitled "Farewell to Dong Lingwang," and this Dong Lingwang cannot be identified. Some scholars believe that Dong Da was Dong Tinglan, a famous qin master at that time. In the spring of the sixth year of Tianbao's reign, Fang Goon, the minister of the Ministry of Revenue, was deported from the court, and his disciple Dong Tinglan also left Chang'an. At this time, Gao Shi was also very unpopular and wandered around, often in a poor and lowly situation. In the winter of the sixth year of Tianbao, Gao Shi and Dong Tinglan met in Suoyang

Appreciation:

Gao Shi and Dong Da met again after a long time of separation, and after a brief meeting, they went their separate ways. However, the author's open-minded, bold tone of the parting gift words to speak a passionate and generous, inspiring.

The first two lines, "The yellow clouds of a thousand miles are twilight, and the north wind is blowing the geese and snow." The first two lines are about the "yellow clouds" and the "twilight of the day", and the first two lines are about the "white wind" and the "snow".

The last two lines, "I don't have to worry about the road ahead without a friend. The last two lines of the poem, "Don't worry that you won't be able to meet your friend, who in the world doesn't know you", are a consolation to your friend.

The poet, on the occasion of the imminent breakup, did not write about the thousands of parting thoughts, but encouraged his friends to embark on the journey and meet the future with passion.
