Koreans rarely make noise in public places, and even in places with a lot of people, they can't hear the noise. Pyongyang Railway Station is a place where the flow of Koreans is very large. Foreign tourists come and go with taciturn Korean tourists. In my impression, the railway stations are very noisy, but Pyongyang Railway Station is different. Except for the sound of broadcasting news, the whole railway station is particularly quiet.
On the platform of the railway station, you can see many Korean tour guides who welcome foreign tourists, and you can also see Pyongyang people who bid farewell to relatives and friends. They are also very silent on the platform, they don't make phone calls, they don't laugh loudly, and they don't take selfies with their mobile phones and do live broadcasts. It is our China tourists who get off to chat.
Koreans mainly go to work by bus. Every morning, after we set off on the tourist bus, we can see passers-by waiting in line at the side of the road in Pyongyang. The line is sometimes long, but everyone is very civilized. No one had breakfast, no one spoke loudly, and everyone was quiet. Cars on the road rarely whistle, and the whole street is quiet. At night, the streets of Pyongyang are quieter. Although there are many squares and parks in Pyongyang, there are no aunts and grandfathers dancing in the square dance. Bicycle bells occasionally ring in the dark.
During our stay in North Korea, we took the Pyongyang subway under the guidance of a tour guide. There are many people on the Pyongyang subway, but it is quiet. Passengers rarely talk, and even if they communicate, they will try to keep their voices down. Therefore, the whole carriage is very quiet. Not only the train is quiet, but also the subway station is quiet. The public places in North Korea are very quiet. I think the main reason is that Koreans are of high quality and will not make noise in public places. What do you think of this?
