Present situation of Guizhou-Gansu dance

Before liberation, Qiang-Huo dance was once a performance form of folk artists begging along the street, commonly known as "playing Qiang-Huo", which was sung and danced by a single player while playing. Dancers hold the middle end of the money pole, mostly beating around with the rhythm of local folk tunes. Beautiful money poles are flying, rushing copper strings are crisp, and melodious folk tunes give people beautiful enjoyment.

According to another study, the money pole has the functions of self-defense, carrying tools and props. The money pole is made of bamboo poles about 1.5 meters long, with uniform thickness. There is a slot between each section along the shaft, a pin between each section, and each pin string has three or four copper coins.

At first, Qian Pole Dance was mainly performed by one person, and then it gradually developed into a comprehensive artistic variety with background music accompaniment and singing.
