The film and television city is a good choice for family vacation travel, Guangdong film and television city in my childhood was really very popular for a period of time. With the filming base of the north, many film and television city gradually faded out of the sight of tourists. But the film and television industry in the south still needs the support of the film and television city.
Tuck it away at the beginning. This May Day vacation, I also chose the Foshan Nanhai Guo Yi Film City. Self-driving time is appropriate, the scene is brand new. Like a pearl of the sea, it is located at the foot of Xiqiao Mountain in Foshan. Although there are many activities of the crew, it is still very suitable for families of all sizes to play.
Let's start with a selection of images.
Lining Xiqiao Xiqiao Mountain Guo Yi Film City is located at the intersection of Foshan Huanshan Road and Shannan Road. Due to the many public transportation interchanges, it is recommended to drive or hitchhike there. The location is very close to the highway intersection. It is 5 minutes from the west second ring of Guangzhou Roundabout Expressway, 10 minutes from Guangfo Expressway and Foshan First Ring, and 15 minutes from Gaoming Passenger Port. I won't introduce the exact location for self-driving navigation before. For those who are far away, you can take transportation to the new Xiqiao Station, then change to 'Nanhai 249 Road' and 'Bridge 15' to the terminal 'Xiqiao Mountain South (Mountaineering Entrance)'.
This time, I chose a self-driving route, but because I didn't dare to drive on the highway, I had to hitchhike. The master is from Foshan, I have to rush back to the city early in the morning to open the store, so there is a "soul call" story. I'll start greeting you at 6:00am and leave at 6:30am on the dot.
It's a May Day holiday, but don't think about getting stuck in traffic this early in the morning. I went straight to the movie city at once, and I answered from the passenger seat with misty eyes. Thank you, master.
The film city has developed a land area of 444,000 square meters, and in October 2015 officially opened. It is a unique movie city that integrates movie shooting sites, hotels, performance venues and other sightseeing and amusement facilities. And it can provide visitors with the entertainment experience of being on the movie set.
There were many tourists during the May Day holiday. The entrance to Yongding Gate of Xiqiao Mountain Ethnic Art Movie City looks like this. Luckily, the venue inside is big enough, so it's not crowded. There is a separate Wong Tai Sin complex outside the Yongding Gate, and then coming out of the Yongding Gate, there is a row of quaint old buildings, Confucius Sacred Garden, Wei Fu, Dashi Street, Yamen and so on. We also met the opening ceremony for the school children at the Confucius Garden afterwards, which was very meaningful. There are thoughtful notices at the entrance placing crew dynamics and which street scenes will be closed for filming at the show. The Jiangnan Water Town and Qingming Shanghe Tu are still under construction, and we look forward to opening them up to the audience in the future.
Gather up your acting skills and act to the end. The beginning of the ancient mansion film and television city, you can enter from the Yongding Gate, all the way through the Kong Sheng Yuan, Fu Wei and so on. Around the corner. Time is still early, not many tourists, the silence of the Yamen more solemn.
The indoor line is still new and exquisite. After all, it hadn't been open for long, and there were crews renting it out for filming all year round, so it would always be maintained and kept in tip-top shape.
It didn't take long to get to the Ming and Qing palaces in front of the Noon Gate. There are various famous historical buildings, such as Jinshui Bridge, the Hall of Supreme Harmony, and the Palace of Dry Ching. The red carpet stretches from the Noon Gate to the bottom of the Hall of Supreme Harmony. As you enter, you will be given a presentation of the show times. On May 1, there will be a special royal wedding show held right here.
In the Ancient Mansion area, there are several places that offer costume shoots where the emperor gets addicted to wearing ancient clothes. From the layout of the venue, we can guess that the Supreme Hall H
At the end of the show, the Jinshui Bridge spews out a sky-high column of water, signifying good weather and a good harvest in the coming year. It was the fading cordon of the square, where the audience flocked to take close-up photos with the cast. The show was over and it was hilarious.
There was also a Film City Windmill Festival theme, with windmills decorating the park everywhere. There were also different interactive booths for visitors to experience near the Ming and Qing palaces, but there was quite a queue. But there's no way around it. There are only a few long vacations in the country to rest. Tourists piling up to travel is also helpless. When you come out to play, you still need to be mentally prepared. The most important thing is to have fun.
Packing up the clothes, pointing the vermilion sand, lucky to meet a school student to open the pen. In ancient times, the "opening ceremony" is a very solemn ceremony, for every reader is very significant, known as one of the four gifts of life. Although nowadays there are still a lot of organizations regularly organizing opening ceremonies, and the form has been simplified accordingly, I was fortunate to come across the opening ceremony of the Xiqiao Mountain Ethnic Art Film and Television City. The ancient environment, cute little people decent performance, really is an unforgettable experience.
The opening ceremony was held in the Confucius Sacred Garden, which can be seen from the entrance of Yongdingmen Park, very close to the entrance. However, since I knew in the morning that there was a performance in the Mingqing Palace Square, I stayed there for a long time, and by the time I got to the Confucius Sacred Garden, the opening ceremony had already started.
The lovely girls attending the ceremony, organized by their tour guide, lined up in front of the gate in their traditional dress, hanbok. Behind them were not only tourists, but also their parents, who could be seen from time to time habitually turning back to look for them. I wondered if they would feel nervous attending such a solemn ceremony.
First, a brief introduction to traditional Confucian culture, the origin and significance of the opening ceremony. It concludes with an explanation of who Confucius will worship next, and so on. Outside the door still anxious lovely suddenly quieted down and listened attentively. Then they were taken to the Dacheng Hall for the "dressing" ceremony. Dressing up not only means covering up, but more importantly, it reflects one's spiritual outlook. It is said that the first to be dressed, then to understand.
Two teams of students each elected a team leader, under the direction of the guide, holding flowers to Confucius. After the ceremony, I went into the teachers' auditorium to meet the first teacher who "got it".
First, the teacher led the reading of the Three Character Classic, do respect teachers, filial piety and respect for parents education. At this time, the classroom resounded with the sound of loud reading.
Just follow the next process. Under the teacher's explanation and guidance, the little cuties picked up the brush in a novel way, dipped it in water and wrote one's character on the water surface of the table. The reason why I chose this Chinese character, which has simple strokes and profound meaning, is that I hope the children will learn to be a human being at the beginning stage of their lives, and understand that the first thing they need to do is to be like the character for "human being", which is to hold up their chests and be indomitable.
Each of the young learners behaved appropriately in the face of seeming ignorance of traditional culture, which is to be commended.
As the saying goes, "Pointing vermilion becomes gold", at which point the teacher walked up to the young students with vermilion sand in her hand and scratched a red mark in the middle of their foreheads, wishing them a bright future. "The 'eye in the sky' opens today. May the students' minds light up and they read well and study hard!"
When the teacher's auditorium is over, the students are led to the Wenchang Hall, where the Wenchang Emperor stamps "High School Scholar" on each student's tianshu, bringing them full of expectations and encouragement.
It is wise to start playing the drums after you get the certificate. Playing the number one drum means that the famous deeds will be immortalized. This should be the most hilarious and exciting time for the kids. Then they leave a message in front of the number one list in the square and the whole opening ceremony is over. The grand ceremony regarded it as a sacred mission for children to go to school and seek knowledge. Nowadays, although they no longer read the Four Books and Five Classics or take the imperial examinations as Xiucai, the inculcation of traditional culture still starts with the children.
Location of cerem
Back to the last century, in Kowloon Walled City stumbled upon the Shanghai villa, ending the journey of the ancient house. After the game booths it was a short walk from the Ming and Qing palaces to Canton Street.
Guangzhou Street shows the cityscape of Yangcheng from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, with the mahogany on the walls glittering in the sunlight. Xiqiao Mountain Guo Yi Film City utilizes the geographical location of Guangdong to create Guangzhou Street with high simulation and complete scenes. It is not only an excellent place for film crews to shoot movies and TV dramas about the old Yangcheng from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, but also a place for tourists to remember the history of Guangzhou.
There are prop stalls all along the road for visitors to have fun and shoot, and it's time to put acting skills to the test again.
It wasn't long before some tourists followed. At one point the whole street was packed with tourists, filled with different combinations and decorations, in person. The sense of the times remains strong.
The overall architecture of Hong Kong Street is in the nostalgic style of the 1930s-70s, and is mainly divided into Hong Kong View and Kowloon Walled City View.
Hong Kong View covers an area of about 22.5 acres, with the famous 'Commoner's Nightclub' as the center, and surrounded by streetscapes such as Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Queen's Road Central and Mong Kok. There are many British-style buildings, including the Yau Ma Tei Police Station, which symbolizes British colonial rule. They incorporate traditional Hong Kong-style buildings such as the Tin Hau Temple, the Ice House, the Boxing Hall, the Railway Station, and the Electric Vehicle Depot, which skillfully condense and recreate the bustling life of Hong Kong people in the 20th century.
At the entrance of the road, you will see a warning sign for the construction of the theater group. From the location, and comparing it with the sign at the entrance, the Chasing Dragon movie was filmed inside.
The crew on site is still busy, working night and day.
Picking a hair salon and pushing the door in, the layout was not at all subtle. Although it was messy because it was not laid out, the decoration was meticulous.
The Nine Dragons Walled City Scenic Spot covers an area of about 5.1 acres and was built to mimic the original appearance of the real Nine Dragons Walled City before it was demolished in 1993. Since the end of the Anti-Japanese War, Jiulongzhai has become a "unregulated" area, Jiulongzhai City has spawned many criminal cases, and the city's unauthorized buildings have created a unique architectural style. Some Western countries even consider Jiulongzhai to be a true reflection of China's apocalyptic future and are fascinated by it.
Today, the real historical sites are nowhere to be found, but visitors to the Kowloon Walled City scenic spot can still find the footprints of the life of the lower class during the warring years. Apart from the dilapidated facades, there are also the narrow spaces between houses and the messy piles between the upper and lower floors, giving them a sense of how difficult life was for the poor in Hong Kong at that time.
The narrow aisles, with worn-out shade cloths overhead, are a unique sight in the Kowloon Walled City.
Out of the Kowloon Walled City, you cross a street and arrive at Shanghai Street. Shanghai Street is modeled after old Shanghai during the Republican era, with attractions such as the Paramount, the Shih now Department Store Building and the Shikumen.
Shanghai Street, in terms of entertainment, commerce and residential buildings. It truly shows the worldliness of old Shanghai in the Republican period. Tram tracks are the most conspicuous sight in this place, winding all over the street. The street scenes on both sides become more and more familiar. I guess all the dramas I watch are old Shanghai stories.
Shikumen is the most distinctive residential architecture in Shanghai, most typically characterized by the fusion of East and West. Shikumen has a traditional Jiangnan two-story courtyard. Overall, the layout of the rows comes from Europe. The details of the facade have the carved designs of Western-style architecture, and the triangular or rounded door decorations on the doors are mostly Western-style.
Shikumen Complex gave me a feeling a bit like a maze, walking and losing my way. The sunlight shines through the cracks of the buildings, mottled and fascinating.
There are also different amusement services in the rooms on the first floor, such as Treasure Thief and Labyrinth City. You can also sit in the cafe when you're tired and you'll blend in with the old times till the end.
Another well-used filming location is the train station, An
Today, the Paragon in Film City is still used as a performance theater, and is said to be used for other small concerts in the future. The venue can accommodate up to 500 people, with boxes on the second floor. However, it seems that staff are not allowed to take photos inside the arena. I had just flattened my camera when a big hand came over. The commentator said that the show is thrilling and exciting and photography is prohibited for safety reasons. So let's just enjoy the show.
There will be four performances in one day at Paramount: 10:00 - Wu Xiang, 13:30 - Raiders of the Lost Ark, 15:00 - Stars and Shadows. 16:00 Taoist Magic. If you want to take the front seat, you should remember to line up at the door half an hour early. by the time I got to the Paragon at 1:10, there was already a huge line. There were basically 80 adults sitting in the museum when I went in.
What surprised me even more was that there was a small amusement park. Its reference scene is Hong Kong's Kai Tak Amusement Park, which has carousels, pirate ships and other motorized games. It's time to relax after all this time.
With such a big movie city, you certainly can't see it all in half a day. There are naturally many cafes, bookstores and tea restaurants in the unseen buildings. We chose Nanhua Restaurant for lunch. The interior is very retro and simple. Seats are set outside the store after ordering, with iron boron overhead to shade the sun, which is quite cool.
Pack up the not-to-be-overlooked wedding photography base. It is located behind the Shikumen, and a hidden wedding photography place, naturally follow the crowd. Crystal Chapel, Hawaiian Pavilion, St. Francis Cathedral, Mediterranean Gardens and so on. We could see a large number of photographers present but they were all cooperative and orderly. Now it is said that Guo Yi Wedding Photography Base has signed with more than 300 studios. No wonder the scene is so lively.
Now, in keeping with the theme of the Windmill Festival, the mountains are full of windmills.
While overseas wedding photography is in full swing now, it costs quite a lot after all, and this kind of small-scene photography saves time and money, so the market demand is still very high.
Staying in the film and television city is easier than expected, and easier to stay away from the stars. Previously because of the work of Xiqiao Mountain National Arts Film and Television City is very well known, I did not expect the adjacent resort hotel is also a variety of styles. Scandinavian style facade is particularly conspicuous, feeling that not enough homework done haha.
It is the first star hotel in the Foshan Xiqiao Mountain National Arts Film and TV City project. It is built next to the film and television city. Anyone who comes here chooses to stay here, and once you're in, you're on a month-to-month basis, so it's safe to say that you'll have the opportunity to meet anytime during the year. The hotel has 350 distinctive rooms and suites of different styles, 6 Chinese and Western restaurants, various entertainment facilities and so on.
Inside the lobby is simple, clean and refreshing, but the most intuitive feeling to me is big, very big. In addition to a square on the front desk side, there is another square with stairs on the other side for rest. Connected together in two pieces, naturally has a different momentum.
There are lounge areas, sofa benches and double seats around the perimeter near the windows. According to its introduction, midnight is the peak time for the crew to come in and out of here, the hotel does not have a back door, only from the lobby in and out. Miss can only help you so far, but please remind me to be sensible and iconoclastic.
Because it was May Day, check-in time was around 3 p.m., and it was especially crowded. Even though there were already 4 staff members at the front desk, there was still a long line, which shows the popularity. When I asked later, the room was full, and then I really missed the reservation.
Getting the room card was not easy. When the elevator opened on the fourth floor, I hesitated for a while. Visually, there are a hundred rooms on this floor . Straight down the extended hallway. Fortunately, it was easy to find. It went all the way to the end.
It was an imaginatively simple style. Doors open windows open without any unnecessary decorations. White walls and vintage wood floors make the room look pristine and cozy. A double bed was chosen because there was no king-size room, but the bed was big enough to accommodate.
From the large windows, you can see the adjacent film city next to the soon-to-be-demolished parking lot, with various styles of buildings layered together. Next to the parking lot is go
Window in front of the workbench is equipped with the film city May 1 program introduction, dream windmill festival related activities and hotel facilities, and wifi soon very popular fact. The percale cotton bedding is very skin-friendly but doesn't collapse. The pillows are just the right thickness and I expect to sleep well tonight.
The curtains look like this at night when they are drawn, and the texture is good.
The bathroom is modest, the bathtub is optional in the rain, the toiletries are concise, the body lotion is sweetly applied, and anyone who loses their life will be saved.
Mini complete, next to the closet highlight is I found a hot iron, do not have to worry about clothes wrinkled embarrassment.
The switch has a light, easy to turn off the light at night. Wherever the light is on, it's on.
Simply take a rest or go down to the first floor and experience the entertainment facilities attached to the hotel. The entertainment area is located on the first floor promenade of the hotel and features billiards, escape rooms, archery, a game room and a fitness center.
For outdoor activities, there's rock climbing, an outdoor pool, and some children's rides. Laughter can be heard everywhere, but be safe because it gets really crowded on May 1st.
When it came to the outdoors, I still couldn't let go of my favorite Scandinavian-style facade, with its elaborate and rich structure. It's a good thing I brought an extra skirt in the same exotic style, or I would have felt sorry to see this scene. (Thanks to Bigwing for helping me take the following beautiful photos)
There's not much room, just one long corridor is enough to get into the scene, and there are fewer people, making it easy to take photos.
After nightfall, the lights were on and it was another scene. For dinner, I chose the buffet at the Western Restaurant on the first floor of the hotel to feel the fire of the May Day crowds. Since we didn't reserve seats in advance, the seats were full and we waited outside for an hour to get them, so remind your friends to make reservations in advance.
Located between the elevators from the lobby to your room, the fa?ade is very recognizable.
The western restaurant is decorated in a modern minimalist style, but for me, who was already hungry, the only thing that shone in my eyes was the food.
Whether it's cakes, desserts, or seafood barbecue, there's still plenty of clearing of plates, even if the kitchen can keep up with the speed of serving.
After a full meal, you can also choose to have a drink at the bar next door to let go of the excitement of the day and relax, and then have a better quality of sleep at night.
The buffet is popular, convenient and simple, try the Chinese restaurant on the second floor, which is the specialty and essence of this place. Again, you are fortunate to be received by the chef and introduced to the dishes, listening to the story of the meal, naturally eat well.
The saucy and crunchy radish is pickled by the store's chef and is delicious. The sliced radishes were crunchy and soft, making it a very friendly and appetizing dish for people with bad teeth like me, too.
The French pasta casserole with foie gras sauce was fresh but not greasy, refreshing with lye, and exceptionally affordable.
This dish comes from a true love story. It's said that the owner's wife at Guo Yi Resort loved shrimp so much that the owner peeled shrimp for her at every meal, but for a long time her hand was often injured and she couldn't eat it by herself, so she asked the kitchen to come up with this dish, separating the shrimp from the meat so that everyone would be happy.
Crispy Chicken with Fresh Fruit Salad, where the chicken and salad are put together and the fresh flavors are brought in by the fruit. A big fish and meat dish at a big table that's not really greasy.
As a dessert, this white sugar cake, named by the chef as Crispy Golden Armor, comes from thin slices of pumpkin juice fried in pumpkin juice sandwiched between two sides. Biting into the crispy outside and soft inside is an unexpected and magical experience.
Finally, we had Xiqiao Pie made by the hotel. The origin of Xiqiao Pie is the dried food that the scholars who went to the capital in ancient times carried with them, so it has been passed down to the present day, and the Xiqiao Pie sold outside is a big piece that can be eaten as a meal. The hotel's homemade pies are improved into small bags for dessert or breakfast. Westwood pies are delivered to every room Monday through Saturday. Don't miss out on this exquisite Westwood pie.
