What particular problems does an aging population pose for society?

This is a very real problem. Far from it. Let's just say me. Both my parents are healthy, my mother is much sicker. They are both retired. So I can't go out too far or too long. When my mother comes in sick for 10 and a half months she has to be hospitalized, serving tea and food, and being busy. One day down a rolling is gone.
