Early Years
Xie Na was born in Zhongjiang County, Deyang City, Sichuan Province, into a literary family, where both parents were local literary and artistic cadres, and her mother was a dancer in the Zhongjiang County Opera Troupe. During her time at Chengbei Middle School, Xie Na used her extracurricular time to excel and was chosen as the Minister of Literature and Arts, hosting her first school cultural performance, as well as organizing her classmates to choreograph a variety of dances, taking part in speech contests, and playing on the school's volleyball team.
In 1994, at the age of 14, she won the second prize in the speech contest of Zhongjiang County, and in 1995, she participated in the Second National Film and Television Performance Competition for Newcomers and performed the program "Butterfly Dreams", which was eliminated in the preliminary rounds due to the lack of standardized Putonghua.
In 1998, Xie Na graduated from Sichuan Normal University Film and Television College (now Sichuan Film and Television College), majoring in acting and program hosting. In the same year, she took part in the Fifth National Film and Television Acting Newcomer Competition, and subsequently won the Film and Television Acting Top Ten Gold Award Championship.
