History
Jiuzhaigou was logged in the 60's by the 126th and 127th forest farms, and in 1960 Chairman Mao called for support for the remote mountainous areas, which led to people from the plains responding to the call to go into Aba Prefecture, Ganzi Prefecture, and Liangshan Prefecture for the third line of construction, and also to develop the forests. He immediately wrote to the Sichuan Provincial Government, and informed the provincial forestry department.
