Part I Warming Classic Bedtime Stories Long Story

A long, long time ago, there was a shepherd girl who lived in a wooden house at the foot of a mountain, at the foot of which there was a green meadow full of yellow, red, and pink wildflowers. The shepherdess wore a fat apron with a long skirt that hung down around her ankles, and in the front pocket of the apron she kept a small whip to drive the sheep. The shepherdess wore a twisted braid, sometimes with a few freshly picked wildflowers in it. The black sheepdog ran around in the grass, and the white sheep bleated as they lowered their heads to eat the grass. The shepherd girl loved her sheep, they were her simple joy, the shepherd girl loved her sheepdog, it protected her and her sheep, the shepherd girl also loved the white clouds in the distant sky, white like her sheep, so fluttering, so soft. The shepherd girl looks at her sheep every day, they accompany her to play in the grass, they accompany her happiness, her simple happiness.

On the other side of the mountain lived the prince, the prince did not know when to come to the shepherdess girl's cabin, the shepherdess was carrying her sheep home, saw him. The shepherdess looked at him with curiosity, the first time she had ever looked so closely at anyone or anything other than her sheep. She invited the prince to accompany her to shepherd her sheep, to play in the meadow and to look at the white clouds in the sky. The prince would sit on a rock, playing his organ and singing, and she would sit at his feet with her bare feet and knees and listen, and get drunk little by little. They chased the sheep together and watched them scatter and run away, then they laughed and lay down on the grass and looked up at the blue sky; they played together by the brook and splashed water on each other, and the sun shone on the splashing water, so gorgeous that it made people dizzy; they watched the stars at night together with their backs to each other, and held hands and got wet together, and they lived happily through each day. The prince lived in the shepherd girl's cabin, the shepherd girl has forgotten how long she did not go to see the white clouds in the sky, she is now just focused on looking at the prince, she also forgot how long she did not wave a small whip to drive the sheep home, she let them wander in the meadow, she did not even find that has been to protect her and the sheep of the sheepdogs do not know where they ran away to. In short, the shepherd girl's eyes are now in addition to the prince, can no longer see anything else, she once simple happiness has been completely replaced by him in front of the eyes, in exchange for a brilliant and beautiful dream-like happiness.

However, the time of happiness is always very short - the prince is going home. The prince is leaving, the shepherdess became unhappy, why he did not want her to go with it? The prince said, the shepherd girl can not adapt to his life, she lacks status status wealth temperament, in short, everything, she lacks. Of course the prince would not reject the shepherdess directly, he would tell her that she would have to go to the town to buy beautiful clothes to wear, she would have to comb her long hair to soften it, she would have to ride in a carriage, let her friends and family escorted, like a princess in order to go to him. The shepherdess accepted the prince's suggestion that they could meet again even though they were going to be apart, and she stayed in the cabin as she thought about how she could appear to the prince like a princess. She could lose her shepherd's whip and take off her big apron for the prince. She said to the prince, come home and don't let anyone kiss you on the cheek or you will forget the shepherd girl who is here. The prince went away without a word, and the shepherdess was afraid, whether her prince had forgotten his injunction, whether he had been kissed on the cheek, and so had forgotten the shepherdess. She was afraid, she was anxious, she did not go back to her prince when she became a princess, as he had asked her to do, she broke into his palace, and she found that her prince was engaged to a real princess.

The shepherd girl attends the prince's engagement ball, and she dances with him every night, wearing a gown as brilliant as the stars, the moon, and the sun. The prince asked her, Beautiful girl, have we ever met? The shepherdess said to him, Dear prince, you have forgotten the shepherdess at the foot of the mountain, the shepherdess has been waiting for the prince. Three consecutive days of the ball, the prince was confused by the strange words and deeds of the shepherd girl, when the last dance was over, he was going to exchange the token of love with the princess, the prince suddenly remembered that he had once spent the time with the shepherd girl, he let go of the princess 's hand, walked down the noble hall, walked to the shepherd girl in front of him. The prince took the shepherdess by the hand, this was the one he loved, how could he forget her for a moment? The prince regained his memory, and the shepherd girl and the prince lived happily ever after.

In the vast depths of the sea, there is a kingdom of fish. The king of the sea has six beautiful daughters, especially the youngest daughter is more beautiful than her sisters, she is kind and pure, with a wonderful and beautiful voice. They lived freely and carefree in the sea. The old grandmother would sometimes tell them some stories of the sea above the novelty, so that the heart of the youngest princess is full of longing and desire for the world above the sea.

Finally, at the age of 15, the little princess was allowed to float to the surface of the sea. She looked around excitedly, trying to take in everything. At that moment, a big ship approached her, and in the ship there were many richly dressed people who were celebrating the prince's birthday. When the little mermaid saw the handsome prince, she was y attracted to him. Suddenly there was a violent storm, the wind and waves destroyed the ship, and the people fell into the water and sank to the bottom of the sea. Risking her life, the little mermaid fought to lift the prince's head and push him to the beach, she gently kissed the prince's forehead and hid in the water far away. Waiting for someone to come to his rescue. At that moment many people came out of the church and a young girl spotted the prince, she called some people and saved him. The prince woke up, he thought the girl had saved him and didn't know the little mermaid at all. Back in the sea, the little mermaid told her sisters about her heart, and they told her who the prince was and showed her where he lived. So the little mermaid was determined to find her beloved prince.

She first found the sea witch, begging her to help her realize her wish to become a human being. The sea witch prepared a medicine for her, told her to drink it before dawn, the fish tail can become a human leg, of course, it is very painful, like a sharp knife split the body; and, every step, the foot will be like a knife cut like pain. Once changed into a person, can never become a fish back to the sea. The sea witch also told her: if the prince forgets his parents and marries her out of love for her, then she will get an immortal soul; if the prince marries another woman, then the little mermaid will die the morning before the prince's wedding and turn into sea foam. The little mermaid was pale, but she was undaunted and bravely asked the sea witch for the potion. In payment, the sea witch cut out her tongue and took away her beautiful voice. Late at night, the little mermaid threw 1,000 kisses at her sleeping loved ones, and her heart ached so much that it seemed to crack into pieces, and she quietly departed.

She went to the prince's palace, and on the stone steps drank the medicine given by the sea witch, and a sharp pain made her faint. When she awoke, she met the prince. To the prince's questions she could not answer, for she had become mute. She danced for the prince so gently and gracefully that the people were mesmerized, and no one knew what kind of pain she was enduring. The prince loved her so much that he didn't want to be separated from her for a while, but he still loved the girl who had saved his life, and he didn't know that it was the little mermaid who had saved him.

The king and queen chose a bride for the prince, who was the princess of a neighboring country. The prince took a boat to pick her up and realized that the princess was the very girl who saved him. The prince is about to marry his beloved girl, and the little mermaid dances for them despite the intense pain, which will be her last day with the prince. Night fell, and the poor little mermaid stood alone on the side of the ship, thinking of her relatives and home in the sea. Suddenly, the sisters appeared, it turned out, in order to save their sister, they went to beg the sea witch, the sea witch asked for their hair, gave them a sharp knife, let the little mermaid stab the prince in the chest, this is the last chance. She saw that the prince was still calling his bride's name in his sleep, and that she was the only thing in his heart. The little mermaid kissed the prince's forehead again, and with trembling hands threw the knife into the sea, and jumped into the sea herself. When the day dawned, people could not find the little mermaid, and a white foam bounced on the waves beside the ship.

Part 3 Warming Classic Bedtime Stories Long

There was a cat who met a mouse, and talked to it about how much he liked the mouse, and how he intended to make friends with it, and got the mouse to finally agree to live with the cat, and **** the same life. "We must prepare for the winter, or we shall starve in the winter," said the cat; "and as for you, my little mouse, don't go anywhere; I am really afraid you will get caught in some mouse trap." The mouse took the cat's good advice, and so they bought a tin of lard, yet neither knew where to put it. They thought left and right, and at last the cat said, "I think the lard would be perfect for the church, for no one would dare to steal from the church. We will hide the lard under the altar and never touch it until we have to." And so the jar of lard was put in a safe place. But it was not long before the cat began to crave the lard and said to the mouse, "Little mouse, I want to tell you something. My cousin has just given birth to a little baby, and has asked me to be the little baby's godmother. That little baby is all snow white with some brown spots. I'm going to hold it and get it baptized, so I'm going to be out for a bit today, so you'll be home alone to watch the house, okay?" "Yes, yes," said the mouse, "go ahead. And if there's anything good to eat, do remember me. I'd love to try a little of the claret that was used at the christening." None of this was true, of course, for the cat had no cousin, nor had it been asked to be a godmother. It went straight to the church, sneaked up to the lard jar, and began to lick and lick and lick the top layer of lard. Then he took a walk on the rooftops of the town to try his luck at something else; then he lay down and sunned himself. Whenever he thought of the lard, he could not help licking his lips. It waited until dark before going home. "Ah, you are back at last," said the mouse; "it must have been a good day?" "Everything went well." The cat replied. "What did you name the boy?" "No Top!" Cat said coldly. "No Top!" The mouse yelped, "That's an odd name that doesn't come along very often. Do you often have names like that in your family?" "What's that?" The cat said, "No worse than those godchildren of yours called something like 'Crumb Stealer'?"

It wasn't long before the cat wanted lard again. It said to the mouse, "You've got to do me a favor and watch the house all by yourself again. I've been asked to be a godmother again, and with a white ring around this child's neck, I just can't resist." The kindly mouse agreed. The cat slipped into the church from behind the walls and ate half a jar of lard in one gulp. "Nothing is better than eating it in your own mouth," it said, feeling inwardly satisfied with the day's harvest. When it reached home, the mouse asked, "What is the name of this child?" "Half-eaten," answered the cat. "Half eaten! What are you talking about? I've never heard a name like that in all my life. I'll bet it's the almanac that doesn't have such a name!"

Soon the cat's mouth began to salivate again, wanting to lick the lard again.

"Good things come in threes," he said, "and I've been asked to be godmother again. This child is all black except for its paws, which are white, and doesn't even have a single white hair. It's the sort of thing that happens for years; surely you'd agree to my going, wouldn't you?" "No more tops! Half eaten!" The mouse replied, "Those are strange names! I just can't figure it out." "You don't go out in the daytime," said the cat, "and you sit at home all day in your dark gray coat and your long tail, and you think about nothing, so of course you can't figure it out!" While the cat was away, the mouse cleaned the house and put things away neatly. But the greedy cat ate all the leftover lard. "One can only feel safe if one eats everything clean," it said to itself. It ate until it was dark and then went home with a round belly. The mouse saw it coming back and immediately asked it what it had named this third child. "You won't like that name either," said the cat; "it is called 'Eat it all'." "Eat it all!" Mouse yelped, "That's a puzzling name! I've never seen it in a book before. Eat it all! What does that mean?" It shook its head, curled up, and lay down to sleep.

From then on, the cat was never asked to be a godmother again. But winter came, and there was no longer any food to be found outside. The mouse thought of what they had prepared for the winter and said, "Come on, cat! Let's go and fetch the stored lard. We can have a nice meal." "Yes," replied the cat, "that would surely make you as pretty as sticking your pointy tongue out the window to drink the northwest wind." They set out for the church, but when they got there they saw that the lard can was still there, but it was empty. "Good heavens!" The mouse said, "I finally understand what's going on now! You're quite a friend! You ate all this lard while you were off being some kind of godmother! First you ate the top layer, then half of it, and finally ......" "You shut up!" The cat yelled, "If you keep nagging, I'll eat you too!" "...... eat it all," snapped the poor mouse. No sooner had it finished its sentence than the cat pounced on it, grabbed it, and swallowed it up. Such is the way of the world!

Part 4 Warming Classic Bedtime Stories at Length

"Whenever a good child dies, an Angel of God flies into the world. He takes the dead child in his arms, spreads his big white wings, and flies over the places the child loved in life. He picks a great handful of flowers. Took them up to heaven so that they would bloom more beautifully than they did on earth. The merciful God held these flowers close to his breast, but he kissed only the one he thought was the loveliest. This flower then had a voice and was able to sing a happy carol with everyone else."

Listen, these are the words spoken by the Angel of God as he flew up to heaven holding a dead child. It was like a dream when the child heard these words. They flew over the many places he had played in his home, over gardens filled with beautiful flowers.

"Which flower shall we take and plant in heaven?" Angel asked.

They saw a slender, beautiful rose, but its stalk had been picked off by a wicked hand. So its branches, which were full of half-opened buds, were drooping and shriveled.

"Poor rose!" The child said. "Take it away. It could have bloomed in the presence of God!"

And Angel took the flower away, and at the same time kissed the child for it. The child half opened his eyes. They picked a few beautiful flowers, but also took away a few despised golden phloxes and wild pansies.

"Now we can have flowers." The child said. Angel nodded, but they did not fly up into the sky.

It was night and very still. They stayed in this big city. They flew down one of the narrowest streets. There was a lot of hay, dust and garbage piled up on the street, for it was a moving day. There were also broken dishes here and there, bits of mud coming off the walls, rotten cloths and torn hats - none of it looked very good.

Angel was in the middle of this pile of rot, pointing to a few pieces of a flowerpot and a clump of dried mud chunks that had fallen out of the inside of the pot. A large wilted wildflower had tied itself to this mound of dirt with its roots. The flower was now useless and therefore had been thrown into the street.

"We're taking this flower with us!" Angel said, "I'll tell you the reason for it on the flight."

So they flew away. Angel told this story:

"In a very low basement on this narrow street below, there lived a sick, poor boy. From a very early age he had been laid up in bed, and when he was well he could go back and forth once or twice in that little room with his crutches. That was all he could do at best. A few days each summer the sun's rays could come into the front room of this basement for about half an hour's light each time. As the child sat there, letting the warm sunlight in, he put his skinny little fingers out in front of him and looked at the bright red color of the blood inside. That's when the people said, 'The child came out today.'

"His knowledge of the woods was from the green of spring. For the neighbor's child brought him the first green branch of the beech. He held it above his head and fancied he was in a beech wood - here the sunbeams came in and the birds sang.

"One spring day that neighbor boy brought him a few more wildflowers. In the midst of these wildflowers there was one that still quite by chance carried roots. So this flower was planted in a pot and placed beside the bed, close to the window. This flower was planted by a lucky hand, and so it grew, sprouted new shoots, blossomed every year, and became the sick child's most beautiful garden-his one treasure-house in the world. He watered it, and tended it, and tried to give it every ray of sunlight that came into this low window.

"This flower often came to him in his dreams, for it blossomed for him, perfumed him, and gave pleasure to his eyes. When God called him to go, the last thing he had to look at before death was this flower.

"Now it had been a year since he had lived in heaven. During that year the flower had been completely forgotten in the window. It had wilted, so when it was moved, it was thrown in the garbage on the street. We now take this poor, shriveled flower into our bouquets, for it gives considerably more pleasure than the most colorful flowers inside the royal gardens."

"How do you know about this?" This child, who had been taken up to heaven by Angel, asked.

"Of course I know," Angel said, "because I'm the sick child walking on crutches! Of course I know my flowers!"

The child gazed at Angel's beautiful, happy face with wide open eyes. It was at this time that they came to heaven, to the heaven of peace and happiness. God held the child close to his breast, but he kissed the poor, shriveled wildflower. So that wildflower had a voice. Now it could sing with the other angels and fly around them - some of them flew close, some of them flew in great circles, far, far away into the infinite distance, but all of them were happy.

They all sang - the children, big and small, kind and happy, and the poor wilted wildflower that had been thrown on the garbage heap in the narrow lane on moving day, and all of them sang.

Part 5 Warming Classic Bedtime Story Long

The little snail carried a big house. The house was heavy. He walked slowly and it took him a long time to go wherever he went.

The little snail said to his mom, "Why do we have to carry the house when we go out?" The snail's mother said, "How good it is to take the house with us. No matter when, as long as you want to rest, you can sleep comfortably in your own home."

The little snail said, "But we can't go to many places and do many things like other people. I don't take my house with me when I go out." The snail's mom said, "It mustn't be like that."

The little snail threw the house away and went out to find a new house.

When the snail saw the earthworm turning over the soil, he went up to her and asked, "Auntie Earthworm, where do you live if you don't have a house with you?"

Auntie Earthworm said, "I can drill around in the soil and go wherever I want. When I rest, wherever I arrive is my home."

The little snail said, "How wonderful that I can be like you." Said, he also learn earthworm aunt drilling soil, but just can not drill in. Auntie Earthworm smiled and said, "Look, my head is harder than my body, so I can drill faster and easier." The little snail sighed and said, "How come I don't have a hard head?"

The little snail continued to look for a new house. When he saw the seven-star ladybug flying over, he went up and asked, "Big sister seven-star ladybug, where do you live when you go out and don't bring a house with you?"

The seven-star ladybug said, "I have a thin armor on my back, and a pair of wings under the armor, so when I want to fly, I open my wings, and I can fly wherever I want. When I rest, my wings are closed and my body is shrunk into the armor, and the armor becomes my home."

The little snail said, "It would be nice if I could be like you, but I don't have armor or wings."

The little snail continued to look for a new house. When he saw the centipede running towards him, he went up to the centipede and asked, "Big brother centipede, where do you live if you don't have a house with you?"

The centipede said, "I have a lot of feet under my body, so if I want to go anywhere, I can run fast with a little effort from each foot. When I rest, my feet are shrunk to the bottom of my body, and it becomes my bed. I also have a layer of burrs on the surface of my body, and when I rest, the burrs stand up and turn into a tent, blocking both wind and rain, and that is my house."

The little snail said, "It would be nice if I could be like you, but I don't have so many feet and I don't have that kind of burr."

The little snail continued to look for a new house. It was raining heavily. The little snail was soaked by the rain. He was scared and sad. The rain got heavier and heavier, and many small streams formed on the ground, and the little snail floated over and over in the streams. He was so scared that he cried out.

"Good boy, don't cry, mommy is coming." The little snail's mom came and brought him a house.

The little snail lay in his house and was so comfortable. The snail's mother said, "Everyone has his own special skill, so you can't throw it away."

The little snail said, "I know. Our special skill is that we can carry the house on our backs and walk around."

The little snail said, "I know.
