The main station building opened in 1990 is a curved building with silver-gray tiles, with a width of 136 meters and a height of 60 meters, with a floor area of 36,000 square meters, and the interior includes an entrance hall, a passenger dining room, a shopping mall, a cold drink, a hairdresser, beauty salon, video hall, and a ballroom, equipment and office buildings. The main station building is 2 floors underground and 16 floors above the ground, of which 6 to 14 floors are guest room floors, and the center hall on the 1st floor underground is a hotel lobby with independent entrances and exits, and is connected with the underground commercial city. Passenger station *** covers an area of 1,030,000 square meters, comprehensive station building construction area of more than 60,000 square meters, the station part *** 3 floors, there are 4 rows of 9.5 meters high escalators, 7 elevated waiting room, as well as 6 isometric train floor platforms, the overall structure of the third survey and design by the Railway Survey and Design Institute survey design. On the east side of the main station building is a 3,800-square-meter ticket hall and baggage room, and on the west side is a baggage claim room. The interior of the station is equipped with a passenger broadcasting system designed by the Institute of Acoustics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which consists of 20 signal sources, 8 broadcasting channels, 10 high-power transistorized amplifiers and 20 broadcasting subdivisions.
Considering the operation of the North Station Transportation Hub during the renovation period, the renovation project retains the use of the main space of the existing main station building, and only partially renovates the internal public **** space, and renovates the external cover of the station building, replacing it with white slate and blue glass curtain wall, and replacing the roof with a large-area glass skylight to provide a permeable view. After the completion of the renovation project, Shenyang North Railway Station South Plaza will become a five-story building, including three underground, ground level and one above ground, of which one above ground for the unidirectional four-lane elevated delivery platform, elevated passenger access to the main bridge length of 528.75 meters, bridge width of 9 meters, a local width of 19 meters, 2 rows of lanes, the bridge is cast-in-situ reinforced concrete box girder and steel box girder two structural forms, the maximum span of 50 meters. Delivery platform can provide nearly 100 drop-off spaces, the vehicle that stops and goes, the ground level for the public **** transportation hub and people gathering space, underground for the railroad underground exit channel, air defense room, parking lot, subway access. The east and west sides set up two exits, can accommodate large passenger flow out of the station, indoor waiting area for picking up passengers.
Shenyang North Railway Station South Square project was originally planned to be completed by June 30, 2013, and then extended to July 31, 2013 before completion. Shenyang North Railway Station South Station, the square in mid-August 2013 to open to passengers, providing ticket collection, waiting services.
Sub-station house
The new sub-station house of the station part of the building a **** 3-storey, the use of passenger in and out of the flow of the design, and through the elevated corridor and elevated waiting hall connected to the surrounding and around the roof of the use of large-area glass structure, so that the entire station house inside the translucent and spacious, rich in a sense of space. The elevated waiting hall is 192 meters long and 108 meters wide, with an area of 24,000 square meters,*** with 4,000 seats, and is equipped with an internal coin-operated cell phone refueling station, which can be used to charge any cell phone through the multiple sockets. The roof of the hall adopts the style of combining transparent glass and steel structure to ensure the lighting of the hall and achieve the effect of energy saving. There are fourteen ticket gates from A1 to A14*** on the left side of the waiting hall, twelve ticket gates from B2 to B13*** on the right side, and more than fifty yellow half-meter-high magnetic ticket entry machines in front of all the ticket gates***. The waiting hall has a waiting area of about 50 square meters for mothers and babies, providing convenient conditions for passengers who need to breastfeed their babies and mothers.
Underground Transportation Hub Structure
In the North Station underground transportation hub project, the exit level is set up between 6 meters below ground and 12 meters below ground, and the 2 existing exit tunnels of the elevated waiting hall are lengthened to the side of platforms 7 and 8, and then laterally connected under platform 8, leading to the sub-station building's underground exit hall through the tunnels. The entire exit line will be connected to the north and south sides, so that the existing one-way exit form into a north-south two-way exit, greatly shortening the passenger flow. In the underground 14 meters for the transfer layer, combined with existing municipal facilities, the construction of an underground North-South Municipal Corridor, will be out of the station after the flow of people transported to the North Plaza and Shenyang Metro Line 2 subway station, realizing the station and the subway, buses and cabs station seamless connection. Metro station adjacent to the North Station baggage room, a three-story station, the first underground layer for the human defense **** enjoy the space, the second subway layer for the subway station hall layer, the third subway layer for the subway platform layer.
Station structure
Shenyang North Station platforms are generally used in the international platforms for the train floor platforms, is the only station in the northeast region at that time using the train floor platforms. The station platform adopts no platform pillar canopy, which is built by nearly 5000 tons of seamless steel pipe hoisting, with a total construction area of 57,200 square meters. The roof is designed as a curved structure, *** divided into three parts, the middle body for the space steel pipe continuous arch truss structure, steel pipe truss beam span 66.5 meters, hanging suspension cables; South 59.2 meters; North span of 21 meters; the highest point as high as 17 meters, the lowest point is 14 meters.
Ticket Window Layout
The main station building of South Square is equipped with 32 automatic ticket vending machines on the first floor (which can be used to purchase ordinary full-price tickets directly from trains of moving groups and high-speed railways with cash and bank cards, and the function of changing tickets by telephone and Internet booking) as well as the window for the disabled and the window for refunding the tickets, and 27 manual ticket vending windows are set up on the second floor.
There are 9 manual ticket windows, 6 automatic ticket vending machines and 6 automatic ticket collectors on the first floor of the North Square Substation Building. The automatic ticket collection machines only handle Internet ticket exchange.
Layout of station lines
In 1990, just completed the Shenyang North Railway Station station yard layout for independent platforms 6 platforms and 11 lines. In the renovation project, in order to make different needs of passenger activities along the platform zoning, to prevent bottlenecks and overcrowding phenomenon, the project to take the high and general speed system field and line design, the main station house side (1-4 platforms) will be set up high-speed yards, sub-station house side of the set of general speed yards. In the hub renovation project, the platform was expanded to the west and became 8 platforms and 16 lines.
