Emma passed 10 GCSEs in 2006, including 8 A*s and 2 As. The grades Emma achieved were literally a mirror image of what Hermione did in her O.W.L.s! of a true reflection of Hermione in her O.W.L.s exams!
Sixteen-year-old Emma Watson (who played Hermione Granger in Harry Potter) once again excelled as well-meaning nerd Hermione Granger, a character who is just beginning to take an interest in something other than books.
Playing Hermione in the first Harry Potter franchise was Emma's first professional performance, although she showed talent from a very young age.
Her stellar performance as Hermione has already won Emma a huge fan base around the world. Two years ago, she won the AOL Best Supporting Actress award for "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" and "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban". She was also voted Best Newcomer for "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" by the readers of Totally Film magazine.
Emma continues to manage her studies alongside her filming, and is also an avid hockey, netball, tennis and lap running competitor, and is an accomplished track and field athlete. She is also an art scholar and has the most gorgeous and creative dressing room inside the studio. Her other hobbies include family gatherings with friends, traveling, dancing (street jazz, street dance, salsa and the cotillion her character did in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire") and singing.
The Little Magical Princess Emma Watson
Chapter One
The Little Witch's Muggle Life
The Little Witch of Heavenly Delights
April 15, 1990, Muggle A.D. It was a breezy day in Paris, France.
No enchanted cars were flying through the sky, and no dragons raised by anyone were breathing fire. But outside the maternity ward of a hospital, Mr. Watson, a lawyer, was a little on fire.
Some of the guys waiting outside the maternity ward looked at the near-hysterical Mr. Watson with some pity.
"It's the first child, isn't it." A gentleman in his forties moved kindly to make room for Mr. Watson.
"Yeah, Jacqueline's been in there for a long time, why haven't we heard from her yet, oh ...... god what could have happened ......" Mr. Watson squelched to see the seat, continuing to the same place.
"Mr. Watson," the long closed door slammed open and a chubby nurse came out smiling, "Congratulations, your wife has given birth to a lovely angel. It's a girl, so cute, mother and daughter."
This little baby of Mrs. Watson's was Emma Watson, even though eleven years later the little wizard who took the world by storm played the role of Hermione, the number one girl in the Harry Potter movies. Of course, Mr. and Mrs. Watson at this time had no idea.
"Oh, oh, oh, oh." Mr. Watson was trembling with excitement, "Thank God for the hospital and Jacqueline!" He was incoherent as he expressed his gratitude to all the doctors and nurses present, as well as the fathers-to-be. Everyone was quite polite in accepting the wonderful acknowledgement from this first-time father.
When Mr. Watson finally calmed down, he met his adorable little daughter. The nurse was right, Jacqueline had given birth to an angel, swaddled in swaddling clothes, the little angel looked out at the world with big beautiful eyes, her eyes were brown and sparkling with amber. Her skin was as delicate and vibrant as rose petals, and her blonde fetal hair was soft and fine.
"Chris, is our baby cute?" The new mom asked her husband weakly as she lay in bed.
"She's the sweetest child in the world, the most beautiful baby, she looks so much like my grandmother, the most beautiful lady I've ever seen." Mr. Watson's voice trembled a little as he gazed at his daughter's sweet smiling face.
"Oh, wonderful. Let's name our baby." Mom's eyes closed slightly in happiness.
"Emma Charlotte Durrer Watson," Chris smiled slightly at his wife, "I remember how much you liked the name Emma, and Charlotte Durrer was my grandmother's name, I hope that my old grandmother is blessing his great granddaughter with good health and happiness in heaven. "
"Emma, my dear little Emma ......" Mom softly pronounced the name as the swaddled little Emma looked curiously at her dad, at her mom, and at the world.
Mr. and Mrs. Watson are British, and they are temporarily working in France. Having a daughter in a foreign country has many inconveniences, and Mrs. Watson is a little homesick as she looks at her pink baby.
While Mrs. Watson misses her beautiful home, a young girl boards a train from Manchester, England, bound for King's Station in London. She was so pretty and elegant that the train's delay didn't make her angry. The blonde girl looked out of the window in fascination, and through the window she seemed to see a thin, dark-haired, little boy with glasses smiling at her from his broomstick.
"Are you a little wizard?" She said kindly to the little boy.
The little boy winked at her and poof, it seemed to disappear like a bubble.
"That's an interesting story." The girl rested her hands on her cheeks in excitement and began to imagine wildly. The rambunctious girl's name was Joanne Kathleen Rowling, or J.K. Rowling for short, and she was 25 years old. It was the author of what would become Harry Potter.
If all the people in the world were in the habit of keeping a diary every day, we would be surprised to find how wonderfully connected everyone in the world is, as if a magical wizard had cast a spell.
This magical wizard silently watched us being born, growing up, and quietly arranging the destiny of the underworld, which, perhaps, Professor Trelawney of the divination class of Hogwarts professors could not predict or explain.
As for how to look at the marvelous arrangement of fate, let's just smile like Headmaster Dumbledore! I believe that the magical wizard is also smiling, smiling at the little witch who fell from the sky to be scolded, watching her grow up healthy and happy day by day.
Paris baby
Paris is a unique style, charming and romantic city. It is both ancient and modern, dignified and charming. The Seine River, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Notre Dame, and her food, wine, clothing, and perfume ...... attract people from all over the world to flock here.
Our little Emma is at home in such a city. Emma grew at the same rate as a normal child, and mommy didn't worry about her slow growth, she always said, "Oh my little baby, you were just born so big, and now you're a little lady."
Dad saw in little lady Emma the promise of a future sports star, noticing that Emma's limbs were much more flexible than other children's, much like his! Dad dreamed of becoming an ice hockey player as a teenager, but of course the dream didn't come true, but he sees hope in his pacifier-chomping daughter. The future sports star was held by her exuberant father as he watched game after game in front of the TV. Though little baby Emma had a habit of drooling and huffing and puffing during intense games, Mr. Watson was adamant in stressing to his wife, "Emma's the one!"
Mrs. Watson helplessly took the open-mouthed, snoring Emma from her husband's hands and put her on the bunny bed. She didn't believe that his little Emma was going to be some kind of sports star in the future, such an intense sport wasn't for girls. Her baby was supposed to be a beautiful lady, go to a prestigious university, have a decent job, live comfortably, be romantic and elegant.
Mr. and Mrs. Watson are both lawyers, and they are rational and fair. But when confronted with their adorable little daughter, the two coincidentally display some of the symptoms of rhapsodizers, which are said to be often found in the newly-parented population. Emma has just won back-to-back Olympics in Mr. Watson's dream world and is rushing off to a Roman holiday in Mrs. Watson's dream world.
Our little Emma is free to grow up in the eager anticipation of her mom and dad.
Barely a year old, Emma began to toddle. When she staggered up to her father with a field hockey stick as a crutch, Mr. Watson let out a whimper from his throat, a little too much happiness for him to bear when his daughter gripped the stick before she could hold a fork.
When little Emma gave her mother a curtsy with her chubby little hands pulling at the corners of her coat, Mrs. Watson was overcome with tears of excitement at the sight, even though Emma almost fell to the floor. In her mind, her little baby was ready to go to the ball and she was going to order Emma's dress!
Emma soon learned to walk and run with no problem. By the time she was a year and a half, she was already scooting around the house, and by the time she was two, Emma was following her mom and dad outside.
Residents and visitors to the Latin Quarter on the left bank of the Seine in Paris often see a beautiful little baby walking along the Seine with her mom and dad on a nice day.
Emma is like a doll, with a little pink face, big bright eyes and curly incoming hair. She didn't hold her mom and dad's coat tails like the other kids, but little Emma walked ahead of them, looking around with flashing eyes.
"Oh, my field hockey star!"
"Oh, my prom queen!"
Mom and Dad looked at their spunky daughters with mixed emotions.
"Bunny, Alice, mermaid!" As if she were a beagle who had spotted her target, Emma quickened her pace and dashed into a store with gusto.
"Oh, it's dear Emma," Brown, the owner, bowed his head and lovingly stroked little Emma's full head of curls. "Have you come to visit the mermaids?"
The store focused on products related to fairy tales. The store was filled with the main characters from fairy tales, including Alice and the rabbit who were dreaming in Wonderland, mermaids who turned into bubbles, and Pinocchio who had a long nose ......
Little Emma fell asleep every night to her mother's fairy tales, and she had a deep affection for the main characters in the stories, and had often come to the store ever since she knew of its visiting. Brown had become well acquainted with this pretty baby. Little Emma's habit was to talk to every fairy-tale doll.
"Mermaid, does your foot still hurt?"
"Hello, Puss in Boots, Mommy got me a pair of boots too, don't they look nice."
Emma took a small apple out of her own pocket and insisted the owner give it to Snow White, "so she won't eat the bad queen's poisoned apple."
Brown couldn't push back so he gladly accepted it and promised to deliver it to Snow White. Emma nodded in satisfaction and said goodbye to Brown.
Our Emma continued her walk with her pretty little head held high. The setting sun shimmered on the Seine, and the passers-by smiled slightly at the little lady.
Three Wishes
Despite Mr. and Mrs. Watson's endless imaginings about what the future held for little Emma, little Emma grew up like a normal Muggle girl.
But to her father's relief, little Emma was interested in ice hockey and had already accompanied her father to a few games, and could now almost tell which players belonged to the team she was rooting for and which ones belonged to other teams.
Of course, her mom's pride grew when she saw little Emma listening to music on the radio for large chunks of time and making up her own dances to the music.
"Oh, look how marvelous our Emma is!"
Mom and dad looked at their lovely daughter with delightful emotion ......
Grandma Mrs. Freda Watson came all the way from England to see her granddaughter, and grandma had different expectations for her cute little granddaughter.
"Chris, Jacqueline, our little Emma may not grow up as you envisioned, she is a special child and she will have a future unlike any other." Grandma looked thoughtfully at little Emma playing in the yard.
"Of course mom, our little Emma is one of a kind. " said Mr. Watson smugly.
"Oh Chris, you should know what I mean," Grandma shook her head gently, "Emma is not like other children, she has a special ...... passion for things. Maybe that's not the right word to use for a three year old, but Emma is like that, she's so curious and passionate ...... about everything."
Grandma said while taking a picture of Emma with her camera, she didn't bother being in the middle of taking care of the teddy bear who was screaming to get scolded, only on the side to capture Emma's happy face and serious expression.
"Baby, is it asleep?" Grandma asked softly to Emma who carefully carried the bear to bed.
Emma nodded and tugged Grandma to tiptoe out of the room.
"So, my little baby, sit here and Grandma will take a picture of you on the front." Grandma sat Emma down on a chair in the living room, "Look at the camera, it will take a picture of you looking pretty. Baby, make a wish into the camera! Tell Grandma what you want to be?" Grandma looked at Emma, who was sitting upright, from the camera.
"An ice hockey player?" Dad said excitedly.
"Or a lawyer like mom and dad? Or a dancer?" Mom couldn't wait to ask either.
"I want to be ...... a princess, a fairy, an actress!" Emma announced happily and loudly.
"Click," the photo captured Emma's sweet, smiling face.
"You tell her stories every night, maybe too many." Mr. Watson looked at his wife helplessly.
"Honey, I don't tell her stories about actors, where did she learn the word actor?" Mrs. Watson looked at little Emma in disbelief.
"From watching Roman Holiday over and over with you, of course." Mr. Watson sounded slightly disgruntled.
"Aha, that's not as much as watching field hockey with you." Mrs. Watson showed no weakness.
"Honey, do you know what an actor is?" Grandma asked Emma.
Little Emma jumped out of her chair, ran to the TV, pointed to the people on the TV, and exclaimed, "That's an actor."
The television was showing the 65th Academy Awards, and actress Emma Thompson had won Best Actress.
"I'm smart enough to get scolded, you amaze me," Grandma murmured, her eyes dropping from Emma to the TV, "Emma Thompson got the little gold medal, and her name is Emma, too, and she's British. Oh, this is amazing, it's like ...... magic!"
Grandma watched the Oscars with Emma in her arms, and she couldn't be sure that the little granddaughter in her arms knew anything about the wish she made today, perhaps it was just a little girl's belief. However, her intuition told her that what Emma wished for today would have an impact on her future.
"Life is so beautiful and magical, baby, do you understand?" Grandma kissed Emma's little cheeks and Emma nodded as if she understood and broke away from Grandma's embrace to go take care of his baby bear.
A few days later, Grandma was going back to her home country, and Emma and her mom and dad took Grandma all the way to the airport.
"Chris, Jacqueline, remember Emma's wish! Maybe ...... all her wishes will come true." Grandma gave Emma a big kiss on the cheek, and Emma "giggled", curiously surveying the people coming and going at the airport.
"That was little Emma's first wish, she made three wishes at once and, well, it was perfect wasn't it?" Mrs. Watson said with a smile.
Mr. Watson picked up little Emma, "Honey, if you get those three wishes, then you're amazing! I guess only a little witch could grant all of those first wishes!"
"A witch?" Emma repeated her dad's words, smiling cheerfully.
We have to say that when time takes away people's youth and beauty, it also leaves behind a corresponding gift - wisdom. While mom and dad were still arguing about what direction little Emma was really heading, grandma on the plane was already fantasizing about another British Emma - Emma Watson - getting her hands on a little gold in a few years' time.
What an elaborate arrangement the wizards of fate have made! Mom and Dad must not have imagined that eight years later, little Emma got the role of Hermione in "Harry Potter", and became the most outstanding little witch in the wizarding world, the merit and fairy equivalent, she is also a beautiful little princess in the hearts of countless fans, and, of course, she is still an actress, excellent little actress.
Little Emma's wishes at the age of three almost all came true, and later when her grandmother recalled them, she always had a wry smile on her face, "It's the power of magic, my dear, isn't it? My little Emma has been magical since she was a little girl, she's a gift from heaven, a little witch who brings us joy!"
All Stars magazine listed ten things about Emma
1, she said she is often self-critical, especially when she sees herself portrayed in movies.
2, She likes to do ordinary things and go to ordinary places to have fun. She doesn't like to be seen as a star at home. She only feels like a public figure at every premiere, the rest of the time she just wants people to treat her like an ordinary person.
3, She's very athletic and especially likes skiing and field hockey. But she doesn't like to prepare for tests to catch up on work.
4, She hates people who say she's in love with Daniel, and people who rumor that she's in a scandal with Rupert or Tom.
5, She always used to bite her tongue when she wrote.
6, she thinks Hermione is a chatterbox and it's hard for her to portray that. It's possible that for Emma, learning tricks is just the beginning of a hard job, and it's good to learn them, whereas to play Hermione you have to talk very quickly at all times, and that's a hard job.
7 She thought that a bouquet of flowers was the best gift. The boys had better send her flowers in order to get her attention.
8, Emma is habitually right-handed, though she still wears her watch on her right hand.
9, she can't get enough of any movie with Julia Roberts in it.
10, Emma doesn't know what really moves her heart.
