In March 2000, according to the spirit of Changzhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government Document No. 30, Asia Film and Television City was transferred to Changzhou Municipal Radio and Television Bureau for management, and in the same year, it was comprehensively reconstructed and expanded, and the brand-new Asia embodied the operation mode of big culture, high grade, large scale, high technology and industrialization, forming six plates which are both relatively independent and interconnected: Asia Plaza, Tonight's Star Performing Arts Stage, Champagne Avenue Panorama Entertainment Workshop, Asia Movie World, Baiyunxi Hot Spring, and Asia Star Hotel.
In October 2015, the National Tourism Administration decided to cancel the 4A qualification of the scenic spot in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province due to the change of function, which has lost the functional position of the scenic spot.
