Characteristics of socialist core values:
First, universality.

Constructing the core values of socialism should reveal the most essential and eternal spiritual elements of socialism, avoid serving short-term goals, and at the same time take care of the real needs of the times and the people.

Core values must be built on the excellent cultural traditions of the nation. As Chinese society moves from a closed to an open society and from an agricultural to an industrial civilization, new core values must be constructed.
But at the same time, it should be recognized that the core values of any nation, especially a great nation with a long history such as the Chinese nation, could only be creatively developed on the basis of historical and cultural deposits in the light of new social development and the requirements of the times.
We can't cut off the bloodline and value tradition of the Chinese nation's history and culture if we want to build the core values of socialism. Core values must have a noble spiritual factor.

Constructing socialist core values is put forward on the basis of building socialist advanced culture and carrying forward the national spirit, which essentially belongs to the organic link of socialist advanced culture construction, and is the great project and goal of socialist advanced culture construction.
