Skipping
There is an old cinema in our community, with a large square in front of it. Every night, the square is very lively. There are those who skip rope, those who play badminton, and those who skate pulleys... My favorite is skipping.
At first, I was skipping alone under a tall sycamore tree beside the square. After a while, I was sweating profusely from dancing. When I was about to take a rest, a challenger came. We smiled knowingly at each other, and I no longer felt tired. We dance and count at the same time. Slowly there are more and more people under the tree, and more and more people are counting. There were little brothers and sisters, and mothers holding babies... As they were counting, everyone sang a number song, and our competition became their backup dancer! When I was tired, I lent my skipping rope to my brothers and sisters who didn’t bring a skipping rope. In this way, I got to know more and more people and made more and more friends.
Gradually I learned many tricks such as jumping on one leg, jumping with arms crossed, and jumping in pairs. Mixed dancing is the most fun! The two uncles threw a long rope, and everyone jumped in in order of height. When the crowd was full, they jumped out in turn. They circled around the uncle who threw the rope and jumped in a figure 8 shape. The uncle who threw the rope shouted slogans and threw it hard. People jumping around danced with excitement. At this time, my mother who asked me to go back also joined the skipping team; the serious plane tree was as happy as a child and kept applauding; the white moon stood quietly in the sky, fascinated by the laughter and refused to move forward. One step...
Hot summer nights are cooler because of skipping rope. I also made many friends because of my love for skipping rope and increased my confidence!
