Shenzhou City is centrally located at 38 degrees north latitude and 115 degrees east longitude, in southeastern Hebei Province, northwestern Hengshui City, 90 kilometers away from the provincial capital of Shijiazhuang, neighboring Raoyang and Anping in the north, connecting Hengshui and Jizhou districts in the south, bordering Wuqiang and Wuyi in the east, and Shuolu county of Shijiazhuang area in the west; it has a total area of 1,252 square kilometers.

History

Republic of China in the second year (1913) change, Shenzhou for the deep county, belonging to the direct province of Fanyang Road.

Republic of China three years (1914) changed to belong to Baoding Road.

In the 17th year of the Republic of China (1928), it was directly under Hebei Province.

In 1937, Shenxian County belonged to the Ninth Administrative Inspectorate District, and the special office was stationed in Shenxian County.

In November 1952, Shijiazhuang Prefecture, and in March 1960, Shijiazhuang City, and in May 1961, Shijiazhuang Prefecture, and in July 1962, Hengshui District.

On July 4, 1994, the State Council approved the abolition of Shen County to set up Shenzhou City.

July 10, 1996, Hengshui area changed to prefecture-level Hengshui City, Shenzhou City still belongs to Hengshui City.
