The Qingdao Plum Blossom Festival was grandly opened from March 18th to April 17th in Qingdao Plum Garden Park. This year's Plum Blossom Festival, with the theme of "Wonderful Lichang Meets Early Spring", lasts for 31 days. Tickets are 40 yuan.

:Activity Highlights
1. In July 1998, it was named the "Hometown of Chinese Plum Blossoms" by the Ministry of Agriculture. It is the largest plum blossom garden in northern China and a must-visit place in Qingdao in early spring.
2. At present, there are 136 plum blossom varieties, more than 10,000 plants and 2,000 pots of bonsai in the park***. The main ornamental varieties in the plum garden are Danfenghou, Laoshan White, Green Calyx, Vermilion, Jiangmei, Beauty Plum and so on. There are many attractions such as Plum Valley, Drunken Fragrance Wall, Blue Plum Pavilion, Plum Forest, Cliff Stone Carving, Plum Stream, Luohan Lion, White Eyebrow Slope, Xiangfeng Pavilion and so on.

The theme of the 2010 Shimeian Plum Blossom Festival is: Plum Blossom Meets LPC in Early Spring. In order to enrich everyone's plum blossom viewing experience, Xiangtan Road Street has carried out voluntary performances to further enhance the cultural connotation and content of the Plum Blossom Festival and highlight the regional cultural characteristics. During the Plum Blossom Festival, there were performances on Saturday and Sunday. The event site brought together Yu opera, Qiangmao opera, Liu Qiang opera, square dance, calligraphy and painting exhibition and other regional cultural characteristics to enrich the plum blossom viewing experience.

Plum Valley
Entering the Plum Garden, the Plum Valley is located on the west side. The valley gathers hundreds of fine varieties of plum blossoms bred in Qingdao Plum Garden and Jiangnan and Central Plains. March bloom colorful plum blossoms; white as jade, "Jade Butterfly Plum" elegant and pleasing to the eye; red "Palace Pink Beauty" looks like a beauty's pink cheeks; "green calyx plum" flower green and white as jasper, fresh and elegant. Drunken Fragrance Wall
The east side of Plum Valley is a scenic spot composed of thin plums and strange stones. Academician Chen Junyu, who has visited the Plum Garden many times, was inspired to write the inscription "Drunken Fragrance Wall". Scholars who visited the garden were also enchanted by the scene and left precious ink treasures, such as "The Soul of China", which praises the plum blossom and symbolizes diligence, kindness and the spirit of the Chinese nation. The "Qingdao Plum Garden" on the boulder was named and inscribed by Academician Chen Junyu himself when the garden was built. The pine, bamboo and plum beside the stone are the great symbols of the Chinese nation's moral virtues and people's spiritual support.
