Gao Ru, 194 1, a native of Yongji County, Jilin Province, is a famous duet performance artist, duet art educator and theorist. 1958 was admitted to Jilin Opera School to study duet.
In the 1960s, Gao Ru successively created and performed excellent works such as "Silver Lotus" by Errenzhuan and "The Story of the Red Lantern" by Shantou. Since the 1970s, on the one hand, traditional plays have been excavated and sorted out, on the other hand, new plays have been continuously created, and the theory of duet singing has been systematically studied, which has gradually formed a unique "duet in high school", with representative works such as Burning Manuscripts, Driving Donkeys, Zhu Ai and so on.
