"Ievan Polkka" is a Finnish polka (Polka, Polkka) dance song, a Scandinavian regional ballad, written in the 1930s by Eino Kettunen to the traditional polka tune of Eastern Europe, and popularized by the a cappella[1] group Loituma in 1995. After the popularity of the a cappella group Loituma in 1995, a version of the song was circulated which changed the first letter of the title from "I" to "L" because of their resemblance, and also to symbolize the song's nickname, "Loituma's Polkka". Ievan is the Finnish equivalent of Eva (Ieva, Eeva). The main circulating version is about 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
