Song of the Four Seasons is a Han folk song
A traditional love song popular in Qinghai. In the 1950s, it was adapted into a song and dance piece by Lu Bing and others, called "Flowers and Boys". In the local area, "huaer" represents a girl and "boy" represents a young man. "Song of the Four Seasons" starts with what flowers bloom in the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter, expressing the girl's love for her "little brother". The song consists of a single section of three phrases. The first and second phrases are a pair of upper and lower phrases. The third phrase is the same as the second phrase except for the changes in the first measure. The technique is concise, both unified and varied.
