What is the difference between occupational health and occupational health?

Overview of occupational health

Occupational health studies the health problems in various occupational labor processes, aiming at protecting employees from harmful factors in the process of occupational activities, including the impact of working environment on employees' health and the countermeasures to prevent occupational hazards. Only by creating reasonable working conditions can all workers keep healthy in physical, psychological and social adaptation. Only by preventing occupational diseases and occupational diseases can we reduce absenteeism and improve labor productivity. Therefore, occupational health actually refers to the damage or disease prevention caused by occupational hazards in various jobs, which belongs to the category of preventive medicine.

occupational health

Occupational health is a disease caused by research and prevention to prevent the deterioration of the original disease. It is mainly manifested in the changes of human physiological functions caused by exposure to harmful factors in the environment and work. There are many definitions, and the most authoritative one is the definition given by the Joint Vocational Committee of the International Labour Organization and the World Health Organization in 1950: Occupational health should aim at promoting and maintaining the physical, psychological and social conditions of employees in various industries; Prevent the health of employees from being affected by the working environment; Protect employees from health hazards; And arrange employees in a working environment suitable for their physiology and psychology.

There is no difference. First of all, from the English point of view, they all occupy health, but the Chinese translation of health is different. In addition, since the reform and opening up, many new foreign knowledge and terms have been gradually introduced into China. For example, it used to be called industrial hygiene and labor hygiene, but now it is called occupational hygiene, especially in the field of medical and health care and safety. Due to historical reasons, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labor/Safety Supervision Bureau have been unable to get together (of course, this is a common phenomenon among ministries, not surprising), which leads to different titles, but sometimes they use this title for each other. So there should be no difference.
