Is it good for you to drink a small amount of white wine for a long time?

Most people, including many medical staff, also believe that drinking a small amount of white wine for a long time will be good for your health. As a cardiac surgeon, I don't support this view, especially those patients who have been diagnosed with heart disease. After drinking white wine, the heart rate increases and blood pressure increases, which is not good for any type of heart disease patients. At present, the focus of drug therapy for heart disease is to reduce the heart load. The above-mentioned alcohol-induced heart changes can not reduce the heart load in any way. Some people may say that your cardiologist also advises patients to exercise properly and do what they can, but the heart load also increases, but the situation caused by exercise and drinking is still different. At least during exercise, breathing changes and oxygen supply to the heart are improved. Moreover, it is clear that alcohol itself is harmful to myocardial cells. Alcohol itself can cause arrhythmia such as atrial fibrillation and alcoholic cardiomyopathy, which is related to heavy drinking, but for people with bad hearts, a little myocardial damage may have serious consequences. Alcohol itself also does some damage to the liver. Some people realize that it is not a bad thing to have heart problems because of long-term drinking, but it is also a bad thing to have liver problems. It has been proved that red wine contains some grape skins. It will be beneficial to the cardiovascular system, but the premise should also be to avoid the harm of alcohol itself to the heart. Our liquor does not contain this ingredient, so it is not recommended to keep a small amount of liquor for a long time. For people in good health, it is recommended to drink some red wine to prevent it, but for the sake of the heart, it is not advisable to overdo it.
