How to domesticate, raise and cross wild boar (also known as mountain pig)? What about destroying crops? How many kinds are there?

Wild boar is an omnivore and eats whatever it can. Domestic pig is one of the main sources of human meat food, which was domesticated by wild boar 8000 years ago. So do you know how to domesticate, raise and cross wild boar nowadays? What about destroying crops? How many kinds are there?

1. How to domesticate, raise and cross wild boar?

1, domesticated and reared

With the consent of the forestry department, the male pure wild boar captured or purchased in the wild will be domesticated artificially in the fence. At the domestication site, it is necessary to inject swine fever vaccine or triple vaccine once, and then wipe it with water according to the instructions, because there are many pig lice on the pure wild boar. The domesticated wild boar weighs 10-20kg, because it is young, flexible and easy to domesticate. Because domesticated wild boar began to be timid, so in the process of domestication, several domestic pigs or special wild boar piglets with the same weight should be put according to the number of domesticated wild boar, and they will soon get together and let them move with pure wild boar and eat and drink in the covered pigsty. Feed twice a day, of which 1 time in the evening accounts for 60%. When the pure wild boar grows into a small wild boar and is no longer afraid of people, the original domestic pig will be driven back to be domesticated. Because pure wild boar likes to eat raw food, such as raw sweet potato, corn cob, pumpkin, cucumber, ear of rice, fresh bamboo shoots, fresh kudzu root and so on. Therefore, at the beginning of domestication, it should be accompanied by raw food. After 10- 15 days, half of the raw food was chopped and mixed with corn, wheat bran, rice bran, an appropriate amount of amino acids and 0.5% salt to gradually change the habit of wild boar eating raw food. If a small amount of edible oil is added to the feed, the color of pure wild boar will be brighter. At the same time, drugs for expelling intestinal parasites and drugs for preventing diarrhea should be added to the feed regularly.

2. Cross breeding

When the domesticated wild boar grows to 40 kg or has sex, the local fine varieties with high lean meat rate and oestrus sows can be put into the pigsty in the pen, and feed and clear water can be put in the pen to let the pure wild boar naturally mate. But when to release it is also the main link that needs to be mastered. Primiparous sows should not be released in the first estrus, and should be released in the morning of the third day of estrus in the second estrus; Sows should be released on the morning after estrus, and sows should be released on the day of estrus. When placing, the breeder should observe quietly upstairs. The breeding process of wild boar is longer than that of domestic pig, and it takes about 30 minutes to finish. When the observer does see a strong semen left, reproduction is successful. That is, the sow is driven out of the fence and put back to the original nest for domestic use. After 15- 18 days' observation, if the sow doesn't call her lap (estrus), it means that she is pregnant. After about 1 14 days, the domestic sow is about to give birth, and the piglets born are the hybrid generation of special wild boar.

Boars are reserved as the hybrid generation of special wild boar, and can also be mated and propagated with local fine breeds of domestic pigs with high lean meat rate, and will be the second generation of hybrid special wild boar after delivery. The hybrid second-generation special wild boar grows faster because of the heterosis. However, it is not suitable for hybrid piglets of the second generation of hybrid special wild boar to breed with local sows, otherwise it will reduce the labor indexes of special wild boar.

Second, what should wild boar do if it destroys crops?

1. If losses are reported to the local government, according to Chapter II Wildlife Protection of the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), Article 14, if crops or other losses are caused by the protection of wildlife under special state and local protection, the local government shall compensate them, and the compensation measures shall be formulated by the governments of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government.

2, report to the relevant departments, the wild boar arrested, to avoid greater losses. Article 28 of the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on the Protection of Wild Animals, if crops or other losses are caused by hunting wild animals, the hunters shall be responsible for compensation.

Farmers can rest assured that the government will compensate for the problem of wild boar destroying crops, and they must not kill wild boar because it destroys crops and causes crimes.

3. How many kinds of wild boar are there?
