The origin of the name

Polyurethane fiber, also known as polyurethane elastic fiber, is a special chemical fiber with high elasticity. Spandex was first developed by the famous German company Barer (1937) and applied for a patent.

1959, DuPont developed spandex by its own method, and started the industrial production of spandex at the earliest, and the product was registered as Lycra. Translated from Cantonese, it is "easel", which is the origin of easel cloth.
