Skin can be roughly divided into epidermis, dermis and subcutaneous tissue, and each layer of skin plays different roles and functions …
Then, the first thing to study is the epidermis (what you see with the naked eye is the epidermis). The epidermis consists of stratum corneum, transparent layer, granular layer, spinous cell layer and basal layer.
Then I'll briefly talk about the functions at all levels, so you won't be confused, haha.
Corneal layer: contains keratin, which can resist friction and prevent the leakage of body fluids and the invasion of chemicals.
Transparent layer: contains keratin, which can prevent the penetration of water, electrolyte and chemicals.
Granular layer: it can refract sunlight, reduce UVA from entering the body, and has anabolic effect.
Spine cell layer: avoid excessive water loss, and the cells are flat from bottom to top.
Basal layer: the cells in this layer divide constantly, move upward gradually, keratinize, deform and finally fall off, and there are melanocytes that absorb ultraviolet rays.
