How to explore your posture?

Self-observation method of common posture problems

① Postural problems observed from the side: the pelvis leans forward and leans back, the head leans forward and shoulders hunched, and the knees are overstretched.

② Body problems of frontal observation: O-legs, X-legs, high and low shoulders.

③ Physical problems observed through the back: scapular wing, scoliosis and foot varus.

Side view:

1. The pelvis leans forward/backward and stands straight against the wall. Under normal circumstances, there will be a gap in the back. It is normal for one hand to pass naturally. If the gap is too big, it is forward, and if the palm can't pass, it is backward.

2. Tilt your neck forward/head forward to observe the side. If the ear position deviates from the same straight line of the neck obviously, the neck leans forward.

3, round shoulder hunchback Round shoulder hunchback is mainly a shoulder problem. Stand up straight against the wall, and the shoulder blades and head can be close to the wall, indicating a normal shoulder posture. Grasp the pen with both hands, the nib is parallel, which is a normal shoulder shape, and the nib is opposite.

4, knee hyperextension Normal knee extension is 180 degrees, and the calf and thigh are straight from the side. So hyperextension is the phenomenon that the knee joint is backward and the calf is forward.

▲ Positive views:

5.O-leg is an O-leg with feet together and tight ankles, but knees can't be together.

6. Under normal circumstances, the X-shaped legs stand up straight and close the thighs. If the knee and calf are at an angle, then the leg is X-shaped.

7. Stand naturally with high and low shoulders and observe whether the left and right sides of the shoulders are in a straight line. If the two are not in a straight line, there is a problem of high and low shoulders.

▼ Rear view:

8. Observe whether the inside of the scapula is close to the trunk on the back of the scapula. If it is protruding, it is the scapular wing.

9. The spine of normal scoliosis should be a straight line from the back, and the trunk is symmetrical on both sides. If the back is uneven from the back, the high probability is scoliosis.

10, varus If the arch of the foot is high and there is a gradual outward deflection, this situation is often the case of valgus. If the arch of the foot is low and the foot droops, it will turn inward. This situation belongs to varus.

You can take a picture of the front, side and back of the wall according to the above method for self-test, remember to relax!
