Three-flower cats must not be kept. Why?

Three-flower cat refers to a cat with three colors stacked together, usually including white, black and orange. Although Sanhua cats look cute, many of them are female cats and suffer from a genetic disease. Don't keep them at will.

This hereditary disease is called "three-flowered cat syndrome", which is caused by the interaction of three pigment genes on the same chromosome. Three-flowered cats with this syndrome are generally XX genotype, which means they are all females. However, the genotype of male cats is XY, and it is rare that there are three color genes on the same chromosome, so it is rare to have three-flower cat syndrome.

The main clinical symptoms of Sanhua Cat Syndrome include heterotopia, brain defect, deafness and epilepsy. If patients with this disease are not treated in time and effectively during feeding, it will bring great health damage and pain, even life-threatening.

Some people think that as long as the feeding environment is hygienic and scientific feeding is followed, there will be no problem of three-flower cat syndrome. But in fact, the incidence of three-flower cat syndrome is very high. In the investigation of some farms in Jiangsu, it was found that 70% of Sanhua cats suffered from the disease. Therefore, if it is not a professional breeding base, it is not recommended to raise three-flowered cats at will.

In a word, although the three-flowered cat looks cute, it is also a high-risk group of hereditary diseases. In order to protect the health of cats, we should choose a regular breeding base and buy healthy cats instead of blindly pursuing novelty and rarity.
