Science popularization of teachers' mental health knowledge

Teachers are "the most glorious profession under the sun" and "engineers of human souls". In people's minds, teachers are like the perfect embodiment of wisdom and morality. On the one hand, these praises reflect people's reverence for the teaching profession; On the other hand, it also exerts great pressure on the teachers. Psychological exhaustion has become a major psychological disease that threatens teachers. Teachers should learn to adjust their self-psychology, ease and reduce psychological pressure and maintain mental health.

■ Pressure is the fuse.

Psychologists analyze that excessive work pressure and high social expectations are the fuse of teachers' psychological problems, and teachers also feel unprecedented pressure from the aspects of professional title evaluation, teacher appointment, elimination from the last place, performance pay and so on. Some teachers who are psychologically fragile often lead to psychological crisis because of excessive pressure.

Parents and schools place too much hope on teachers, while some young teachers are always worried about their abilities because of their little teaching experience and shallow experience, and the teachers in the graduating class are under greater psychological pressure.

The psychological pressure of some teachers is also related to the change of students' attitude towards themselves after graduation. A junior high school teacher once told reporters that parents and students respected teachers before graduation, but they often ignored them after graduation, which was quite frustrating psychologically.

■ Self-regulation is the key.

At present, some schools have psychological clinics, but most of them are open to students. Psychologists point out that teachers' mental health consultation institutions should be set up in schools to effectively guide teachers' psychological problems in teaching and relieve psychological pressure.

But more importantly, as a teacher, we should pay attention to the cultivation of psychological quality, strengthen communication with students and the outside world, relieve stress and adjust our mentality and emotions.

Teachers themselves should overcome and resolve bad emotions in time, maintain a healthy and cheerful attitude, be optimistic and positive, master mental health knowledge and enhance their psychological adaptability.

We should also harmonize our interpersonal relationships, maintain the balance between ourselves and society, and integrate ourselves into society harmoniously. Society should also help teachers reduce excessive social pressure and psychological burden and create a warm working environment for them.

■ Teachers have many psychological problems.

"I used to work very smoothly, but recently I began to become fragile and anxious. Often before things start, I envision the consequences in advance. I am always worried about teaching badly, worrying about the quality of teaching ... exams, preparing lessons, and all kinds of management work make me breathless, nervous, and restless! " This is a teacher's words.

A 25-year-old female teacher in our province committed suicide by taking poison accompanied by her son, who was less than one year old, due to serious psychological barriers. On her deathbed, she said, "I don't know what happened. The director has no clue. He was impatient and didn't teach his students well. I feel very uncomfortable. I think I missed the students. If I think of these things, I might as well die, so as not to mislead the children. " Not long ago, two teachers in Deqing, Guangdong Province also jumped off a building because of psychological barriers.

This kind of irritability, memory loss, anxiety and other problems often occur in teachers. Relevant surveys in many cities in China show that the proportion of teachers suffering from mental illness is much higher than that of other professional groups.

I remind:

In the face of mental illness, teachers should pay more attention to their mental health. The busier you are, the more you should arrange time to relax. In the communication with colleagues, family members and relatives, adjust your mentality and relax yourself. Physical exercise, meditation, listening to music, appreciating literary works and practicing calligraphy are all good ways to relax.

In addition, in dealing with psychological exhaustion, in addition to teachers' personal efforts, the role of schools and society is also crucial. While strengthening students' mental health education, we should also publicize and popularize teachers' mental health knowledge. All walks of life should also give teachers more understanding and respect, and less injustice and pressure.
