The switches of these lights are generally located in the combination switch under the steering wheel or on the dashboard on the left side of the steering wheel, while the far-near light conversion of headlights and turn signals is controlled by the left lever of the combination switch. The front fog lights of the original car are mostly the same white light source as the headlights, and the rear fog lights are red light sources. At present, LED auxiliary lights mainly have three lighting modes: astigmatism, condensation and combination. The intensity of astigmatism is relatively low, and the illumination range is wide and scattered. The concentrated irradiation intensity is high, and the irradiation area is small and concentrated; The lamp beads of the combination lamp are a combination of the two, so they are more balanced. It can be divided into yellow light, red light and white light according to the color of light source. Yellow light and red light are used as anti-fog lamps because of their strong penetrating power and eye-catching, while white light is more suitable as auxiliary lighting because of its high brightness. As for the commonly used sizes, there are 2, 4, 6, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 inch double row, single row and arc.
A set of white spotlights/yellow fog lights should be installed on the front bumper, and the spotlights should use combined lights. Because the power is relatively high, each group of spotlights should be equipped with a separate wiring harness and switch from the battery, so as to avoid docking the original car line as much as possible and avoid affecting the original car line and function due to problems with the lamp components; Fog lamps should use yellow astigmatism. Because the original fog lamp is replaced, the power is low (the original fog lamp is generally 50W/ piece, and the LED bulb is generally 3-5W/ piece), it can be connected to the original fog lamp harness and controlled by the switch of the original vehicle. The rear bumper should be equipped with red and white astigmatism. Like the front fog lamp, it can be connected with the wiring harness of the backup lamp and the rear fog lamp of the original car, thus continuing the control function of the original car. When reversing, turn on the rear fog light and the white light will switch to red light. For vehicles without fog lights on the back of the original vehicle, the wiring harness and switch need to be arranged separately like spotlights.
There are also some precautions when installing auxiliary lights. Handling with care is basic common sense. External force bumping may make its internal components loose or damaged, and there is a greater chance of no light, flicker and abnormal sound. The direction and protection of the wire harness reflect the degree of detail. Reasonable use of corrugated pipe and electrical tape to wrap wires can avoid grounding caused by broken wires. Try to fix it better according to the big line layout of the original car. Relays and fuses should be fixed in easy-to-maintain positions. When introducing the wires into the car, the rubber ring should not be damaged to eliminate the hidden danger of water leakage. When necessary, sealant should be applied to keep away from high-heat components such as exhaust, water pipes and air-conditioning high-pressure pipes, so as to reduce the calorific value.
The attachment, cutting and docking of the line need a little electrician foundation. Relays and fuses (lamps and lanterns are provided in complete sets) need to be selected according to the power of electrical appliances, so as not to be unable to play a protective role in short circuit. When cutting multiple wires in the same group, they should be staggered to avoid excessive local volume due to concentrated joints. It is forbidden to cut the wire at one end of the lamp, so as not to damage the sealing performance and cause the lamp to enter the water. Electric ferroalloy should be used when docking to avoid poor contact and fever.
In fact, there is no technical content in the modification of lamps, but the mistakes in modification may lead to abnormal work, even burn out the wiring harness and even cause vehicle fire, so technicians need to have basic knowledge of circuits and a rigorous attitude.
