Abstract: Kindergarten is a critical period for children's growth. As a front-line kindergarten teacher, we should pay more attention to it.

Health education is a systematic educational activity to improve children's health awareness, improve children's health attitude, cultivate children's health behavior and maintain and promote children's health according to the characteristics of children's physical and mental development. Its main task is to help children acquire health knowledge, form healthy attitudes and develop healthy behaviors. Nowadays, many children are picky eaters, which is a very bad habit and is extremely unfavorable to growth and development. The healthy growth of human body needs six nutrients: protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and water. These nutrients exist in one or several foods. Only by maintaining a balanced diet can we ensure a comprehensive and balanced nutritional intake. Picky food can easily lead to insufficient intake of some nutrients, leading to malnutrition, weak constitution, poor resistance and easy to get sick. Kindergarten is a critical period for children's growth. As a front-line kindergarten teacher, we should pay more attention to the timely discovery and correction of children's picky eating habits, which is conducive to the healthy development of children's body and mind.

Because parents lack knowledge of health education and pay insufficient attention to it, children can do whatever they want when eating. Parents think that their children are happy and eat whatever they want, and seldom consider what their children need for health, let alone make a scientific diet. After children enter the park, there will be extreme partial eclipse and picky eaters, such as not eating vegetables, fruits and soup: when there is a meal, they will frown and wait and see, while others will shout that they will not eat vegetables or meat. When teachers communicate with parents, parents often say frankly, "Don't let him eat if he doesn't eat, and we don't like to eat at home." There was once a child who didn't eat shrimp. When the teacher learned about his family's situation and found that he wanted to eat shrimp, his grandmother would cook him a catty, so that he could eat it all at once and might not want to eat shrimp for a long time. Grandma said that what he wanted to eat was what his body lacked, so she cooked him more food. All these have made children develop bad habits such as overeating, picky eaters and irregular meals over time. Although some parents are conscious, their children's waywardness cannot be changed, and it has become a major difficulty in their education after entering the park.

Children's cognitive characteristics in a specific environment affect their correct understanding of certain foods. Children's healthy attitude is often easily influenced by adults' healthy habits, and the "high freedom" of adults' living space also makes children's cognitive space change infinitely. In our daily activities, we find that children have never eaten any food before entering the park. Teachers let them eat these foods, and they always have a natural resistance, which can't be influenced by teachers' persuasion. Parents may choose and reject some things according to their personal preferences, which also makes children instinctively refuse to be unfamiliar with these things. Children don't know much about some foods and lack due experience, which is also a factor that can't be ignored.

Teachers lack the basic skills of health education, which makes the content of health education single. In the practice of educational activities, teachers are aware of the importance of health education, but they cannot actively generate and design educational content on the basis of observing children's needs. Due to the long-term neglect of health education, the content of health activities is not as rich as other fields, and the range of relative choices is relatively small. Teachers' lack of health education knowledge has great limitations. For example, in the face of children who are picky eaters, teachers always feel that they can't start. Criticism caused children to cry and respond, and organized relevant educational activities to let children know about the nutrition of vegetables. Although they can say that vegetables contain vitamins, their behavior of making inches has not changed at all. The shallowness of these educational contents cannot be deepened, and it is impossible to fundamentally improve children's related experiences. Teachers only do activities in order to complete them, and some activities have to be abandoned when they encounter difficulties in selection and design.
