Contrast and difference
The difference between ICD-9 and ICD- 10:
First of all, the classification name was changed from International Classification of Diseases to International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, and the book was changed from two volumes to three volumes. The classification chapter has been added, and the core content has been expanded, from the original l7 chapter to the 2l chapter. For some diseases involving immune mechanism, the order of each chapter is appropriately adjusted. Secondly, ICD- 10 cited the alphabet for the first time, and changed from "pure number coding" to "mixed letter and number coding". Another innovation of ICD- 10 is the postoperative diseases in some categories near the end of this chapter. Third, ICD-9 does not include the "notes" at the beginning of each chapter, but is extended in ICD- 10 to explain part of each chapter. ICD- 10 summarizes the information of asterisks into the median of 82 simple asterisks in a three-digit category for selection.
