Is it legal to deduct 50 yuan for less punching?

It is illegal to deduct 50 yuan for missing a punch card.

If the company forgets to punch in at work, the employee's salary will be deducted. If the employee fails to observe the attendance system of the employer, the employer may deduct part of the performance salary of the attendance items in the corresponding performance appraisal. The employing unit shall not illegally deduct the basic wages of workers. If the legitimate rights and interests of employees are infringed, they have the right to ask the relevant departments to deal with them according to law, or apply for arbitration or bring a lawsuit according to law. The employing unit shall, in accordance with the labor contract and state regulations, pay the laborers' labor remuneration in full and on time. If the employer is in arrears or fails to pay the labor remuneration in full, the employee may apply to the local people's court for a payment order according to law, and the people's court shall issue a payment order according to law. Punching in without deducting wages is a disguised way to reduce the remuneration of workers and an act that infringes on the legitimate rights and interests of workers.

Attendance management measures:

1, those who arrive late and leave early every month and forget to punch in for more than 3 times (excluding the third time) will cancel the performance bonus for that month;

2. Those who are late for more than three times will be fined 1 yuan per minute, and so on, until they punch in on the same day;

3. The person who is the most late every month (the number of lateness in that month must be more than 3 times) will be fined 100 yuan in addition to the zero performance bonus in that month, and will not be merged with Article 2;

4. Those who are late for more than 2 months (including 2 months) for the most times will be fined 200 yuan in that month;

5. Those who make excuses for being late or deliberately late will be cancelled once they are found. If the circumstances are serious, in addition to referring to the second punishment, make a written self-criticism and make a public review;

6. If you are late due to force majeure, or if you can justify your lateness, you will not be punished.

To sum up, the reason to deduct 50 yuan for not punching in is untenable. We can negotiate first. If negotiation fails, it can be settled through the labor bureau.
