The traditional treatment is that once the pedicle torsion is diagnosed, open surgery or laparoscopic oophorectomy should be performed as soon as possible. However, torsion of ovarian cyst pedicle mostly occurs in young women, even teenagers. Conservative surgical treatment is safe and effective for torsion of ovarian tumor pedicle in young women. At present, there are many reports about laparoscopic appendectomy for torsion of ovarian cyst pedicle. Laparoscopy can diagnose torsion of ovarian cyst pedicle early and treat it conservatively under endoscope. The operation is safe and effective.
