The Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on the Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases requires that all localities "the health administrative departments of the people's governments at or above the county level and other relevant departments should strengthen publicity and education on occupational disease prevention and control, popularize the knowledge of occupational disease prevention and control, enhance the awareness of employers on occupational disease prevention and control, and raise the awareness of workers' self-health protection". In fact, when the grass-roots departments concerned implement this matter, the most critical difficulty is how to popularize the knowledge of occupational disease prevention among the broad masses of working people.
In our country, every student must take part in work when he grows up and enters the society. He may be a front-line production worker in a factory or mine, or he may become a production manager in a factory or mine enterprise, which requires some knowledge of occupational disease prevention and occupational health laws and regulations. Only by popularizing the knowledge of occupational disease prevention and publicity of occupational health laws and regulations can we really enhance the concept of occupational disease prevention and control of employers' managers and effectively improve the self-health protection awareness of workers.
We have inquired and investigated the work situation of some young people who have just left middle school and set foot on the society. We asked them if they knew about pneumoconiosis, and the answer was no; We investigated whether any of them knew what occupational poisoning meant, but no one could say it clearly. When we asked them again if they knew that radiation invisible to the naked eye, invisible to the hands and inaudible to the ears was harmful to the human body, only a few people said that they had vaguely heard about it in TV newspapers, but they were not very clear. When we casually asked who could tell us something about Minamata disease, several young people talked about this topic with great interest. This content is learned from chemistry classroom teaching in middle schools. It is a toxic disease caused by mercury pollution in Japan, and it is a very horrible phenomenon. Therefore, we came up with the idea of incorporating the knowledge of occupational disease prevention into the basic education of primary and secondary schools as soon as possible, and boldly put forward written suggestions to all parties concerned.
Some knowledge of occupational disease prevention and control involves not only the principles of industrial engineering, but also the contents of human medical physiology and pathology, which is really profound. Then, how to dope the knowledge of occupational disease prevention into the teaching materials of primary and secondary schools? We believe that this will enable experts in occupational disease prevention and control to study together with experts in education and teaching, let students know some simple knowledge of occupational disease prevention and control, and also play a role in prevention and publicity.
2. Learn from the experience of handling occupational diseases, compile some entertainment dramas and publicize the common sense of occupational health laws and regulations.
From time to time, we can see case news about occupational diseases, news surveys about mass incidents of occupational diseases and news columns about labor compensation disputes caused by occupational diseases in newspapers and TV. However, it is difficult for us to see entertainment programs that publicize occupational health laws and regulations in modern literary and artistic works. Therefore, we suggest that literary and art creators can go deep into grass-roots occupational health supervision institutions and occupational disease prevention and control service departments to do some column surveys, or they can enter factories and mines with serious occupational disease hazards and great influence, get in touch with workers there, and write some literary and art masterpieces containing some contents related to occupational disease prevention and control.
In fact, it is easy to find the story of occupational disease cases in China grass-roots factories and mines. Regardless of their own suffering, some patients with occupational diseases set an example and actively do a good job in occupational disease prevention and education to prevent future generations from suffering the same pain. Their deeds are admirable. However, there are also some outrageous phenomena. For example, individual business operators turn a deaf ear to the Law on the Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases in People's Republic of China (PRC), which has been promulgated and implemented for more than seven years, deliberately conceal the true feelings of occupational hazards when recruiting workers, and even turn a deaf ear to the occupational health knowledge training before taking up their posts and the occupational health examination that must be carried out all the time. Some have ulterior motives, recruiting and hiring some migrant workers with low education, narrow knowledge, from remote areas and employment difficulties. Fool them with despicable means such as signing empty labor contracts or not signing labor contracts. When these migrant workers have early symptoms of occupational diseases, they will terminate their labor relations in order to avoid responsibility. If the above-mentioned positive and negative case materials can be processed by artists, they will certainly play a better missionary role in film and television works.
In the process of strictly implementing the occupational health laws and regulations in China, the grass-roots occupational health supervision departments strive to improve their self-cultivation and law enforcement ability, and work diligently, and there are also many touching stories worth writing, so as to protect the rights and interests of workers, promote the orderly development of social economy, and safeguard the economic interests of national collective or private enterprises from the threat of individual speculators.
3. Encourage grass-roots health workers to go deep into factories and mines and conduct some research and analysis on the popularization of occupational disease prevention knowledge.
In order to popularize the knowledge of occupational disease prevention education, it is suggested that grass-roots health workers often go deep into factories and mines and do more publicity, education and research on occupational health laws and regulations. It is a good way to popularize the knowledge of occupational disease prevention and control, publicize occupational health laws and regulations, and improve the scientific research level of grassroots health workers, which should be strongly supported and helped by the education and science and technology association departments of the local government.
Thank you! !
