Shanghai-Suzhou Yangtze River Highway Bridge is a passage connecting Suzhou City and Nantong City in Jiangsu Province, China, which is located in the upstream of Sutong Yangtze River Highway Bridge and downstream of Jiangyin Yangtze River Highway Bridge. It is a river-crossing channel for the Tong-Xi Expressway, the Shanghai-Soviet Railway and the Jiayu-Yong High-speed Railway, spanning the Jiangsu section of the Yangtze River. It is the world's longest cable-stayed bridge with both highway and railway, and the first cable-stayed bridge with four lines and six lanes.
The Shanghai-Suzhou Yangtze River Railway Bridge starts from Zhangjiagang City, Suzhou City in the south and ends in Tongzhou District, Nantong City in the north. The total length of the bridge is 1 1.072 km (including 6989 m of existing railway bridges), including 5827 m of main bridges on both banks, 1876 m of north approach bridge and 369 m of south approach bridge.
The upper layer of the bridge is a two-way six-lane expressway (Tongxi Expressway) with a design speed of100 km/h; The lower floor is a two-way four-line railway with a design speed of 200km (Shanghai-Suzhou Railway) and 250km (Suzhou-Suzhou Jiayuguan High-speed Railway).
