What is the architectural form of Bi Xia Temple?

Bi Xia Temple was founded in the second year of Dazhong Xiangfu in the Northern Song Dynasty (1009). Formerly known as Zhao Zhen Temple, it was changed to Zhao Zhen Temple in Jin Dynasty and changed to Ling Ying Palace in Hongzhi period of Ming Dynasty (1288 ~ 1505). Jiajing (1522 ~ 1565) was expanded and renamed Bixia Lingyou Palace. In the eighth year of Yongzheng in Qing dynasty (1730), it was overhauled and the East, South and West Shenmen gates were added. In the thirty-fifth year of Qianlong (1770), the building was overhauled, making it more magnificent.

Bi Xia Temple has a building area of nearly 4,000 square meters and is divided into two buildings. The main entrance is called Shennan Gate, and there is a song and dance building on the door. On both sides of the door are the East-West Divine Gate and the Bell and Drum Tower. There is a big pool under the gate of Shennan City, which is called "Treasure Pool". Actually, it burns incense. The roof of the mountain gate hall is made of iron tiles. There are four bronze statues enshrined in it. The former is the patron saint of Taoism, Qinglong and Bailong.

Inside the mountain gate is a courtyard, with a fragrant pavilion in the middle, and the bronze medal of "Taishan Tianxiange Golden Que" on the left of the pavilion; On the right side of the pavilion is the bronze medal of "Taishan Lingyou Palace". There are also Qingganlong Imperial Monument and Imperial Monument Pavilion in the courtyard, the main hall of Bixia Hall in the north of Xiangting Hall and the East-West Annex Hall. Daxiong Hall is the main building of the temple, which is five rooms wide and rests on the top of the mountain with double eaves. The height of the hall is nearly15m. The building also uses symbolism: the roof of the hall consists of 360 ridges and tiles, symbolizing 360 days a year, meaning "Sunday". The hall is dedicated to a statue of Bi Xia Yuan Jun. This gilded bronze statue was cast in the Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty (1736 ~ 1795) and has been well preserved so far. This is the treasure of the town. Bi Xia Yuan Jun in Taoism, whose full name is "Our Lady of Tianshan Mountain", is a female with different origins. It is said that she is the daughter of Dongyue the Great God of Mount Tai. It is said that when the Yellow Emperor built Daiyue Temple, he sent seven fairies to Yixi Kunlun to manage the temple. One of them studied hard with real people and finally became a fairy. This fairy is Bi Xia Yuan Jun. During the Western Han Dynasty, there was a woman named, who was brilliant since she was a child. Later, she cultivated pottery in Huanghua Cave and became a monarch. This god is related to fertility. It is said that it can bless women to give birth smoothly and children to be healthy, so many people go to Bi Xia Temple to burn incense.
