What is cerebral infarction?
Cerebral infarction is a common cerebrovascular disease, also known as ischemic stroke. Cerebral infarction is a disorder of cerebral blood supply caused by various reasons, which leads to ischemia, hypoxia and even necrosis of local brain tissue, thus resulting in a series of symptoms of neurological deficit. Cerebral infarction is also called stroke and stroke in the category of traditional Chinese medicine. There are many reasons for cerebral infarction, such as common hypertension, diabetes and hyperlipidemia. The symptoms of patients with cerebral infarction are different. Mild patients may have no symptoms and can be found by imaging examination. Severe cases can be manifested as crooked mouth, unclear speech, numbness of hands and feet, inflexible activities, and even memory loss and dementia. A few patients may have disturbance of consciousness, coma and convulsion. The symptoms of patients are mainly related to the severity of the disease.
