Wine has been used as medicine for a long time and is widely used to prevent and treat diseases. There are three sides in the thirteen sides of Huangdi Neijing. Among the 52 prescriptions unearthed from Mawangdui Han Tomb in Changsha, many prescriptions used wine. Traditional Chinese medicine often uses this characteristic to prepare various medicinal liquor.

There are many prescriptions for medicinal liquor in the past dynasties, and Li Shizhen's Compendium of Materia Medica alone has 89 kinds of medicinal liquor. There are also many medicinal wines produced locally in Hunan, such as tortoise and snake wine and three snake wine. If you drink them in moderation, they can strengthen your body and prevent and treat diseases. If the elderly urinate frequently, it is also beneficial to drink a small amount of tortoise and snake wine.
