In the "20 13 Warning on Safe Consumption of Food Packaging in China" issued by the International Food Packaging Association, there is an item "Improper use of aluminum foil and tin foil during barbecue will be harmful to health".
Tin foil paper and aluminum foil paper are mostly used to wrap ingredients during barbecue to prevent meat from burning. The main component of tin foil is lead-tin alloy. The lead content of tin foil is as high as 50%, and toxic lead white and lead hydroxide will be generated on the surface. Yellow Huang Dan (lead monoxide) produced during incineration is also a toxic compound. These toxic particles float in the air with the hot air, are inhaled into the respiratory tract by the surrounding people, and are deposited in the lungs, which is prone to chronic lead poisoning and will cause symptoms such as depression, anemia, kidney disease, infertility and abortion.
The national standard "Refined Aluminum Foil" (GB 10570- 1989) stipulates that toxic elements in refined aluminum foil for food packaging should meet the following requirements: lead: no more than 0.0 1%, cadmium: no more than 0.0 1%, and arsenic: no more than 0.0. Therefore, the best choice for barbecue is aluminum foil paper, and its lead content should meet the national standards.
When cooking baked goods, if you want to wrap the ingredients in tin foil or aluminum foil, do not add sauce or lemon. In addition, cabbage leaves and corn leaves can be used instead of tin foil paper or aluminum foil paper, and bamboo shoot shells, water bamboo shells and vegetable leaves can also be used as the bottom, which is not only pollution-free, healthy to eat, but also delicious.
In daily life, aluminum foil and tin foil are easy to distinguish. Tin foil is much brighter than aluminum foil, but it has poor ductility and breaks when pulled. Aluminum foil material is stiff and easy to cut, and it is often packaged in rolls.
