People's Republic of China (PRC) Law on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Article 6 The health administrative department of the State Council is in charge of the prevention and control of infectious diseases and its supervision and management throughout the country. The health administrative departments of local people's governments at or above the county level shall be responsible for the prevention and control of infectious diseases and their supervision and management within their respective administrative areas.
Other departments of the people's governments at or above the county level shall be responsible for the prevention and control of infectious diseases within their respective functions and duties.
