Legal analysis: The Regulations on the Management of Pig Slaughter is a law formulated to strengthen the management of pig slaughter, ensure the quality and safety of pig products and protect people's health. 1997 12 19 was promulgated by Decree No.238 of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, and was first revised according to Decree No.525 of the State Council of the People's Republic of China on May 25, 2008; According to the Decision of the State Council on Abolishing and Amending Some Administrative Regulations, it was revised for the second time (20118); According to the Decision of the State Council Municipality on Amending Some Administrative Regulations on February 6, 20 16, it was revised for the third time.

Legal basis: Regulations on the Management of Pig Slaughtering

Article 1 These Regulations are formulated for the purpose of strengthening the management of pig slaughtering, ensuring the quality and safety of pig products and safeguarding people's health.

Article 2 The State practices a system of pig slaughtering at designated points and centralized quarantine.

Without a fixed point, no unit or individual may engage in pig slaughtering activities, except for self-slaughter and self-feeding in rural areas.

In remote and inaccessible rural areas, small pig slaughterhouses limited to supplying pig products to the local market can be set up, and specific management measures shall be formulated by provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government.
