Chaozhou Health School in Guangdong Province was established on 1958. Originally Shantou Health School in Guangdong Province, it is one of the eight earliest health schools in Guangdong Province (including Hainan Province). In June, 2007, it moved to its present campus as a whole. It is a public full-time general secondary vocational school. In June 2005, it was approved by the Ministry of Education as a "national key secondary vocational school".
The school has four major professional groups: nursing, pharmacy, traditional Chinese medicine, midwifery, medical laboratory technology, rehabilitation and health care of traditional Chinese medicine, rural medicine, optometry, prosthodontics, medical imaging technology, health information management, family planning and reproductive health consultation. Among them, nursing and pharmacy are provincial key construction majors.
