Academician Zhong Nanshan said that another inspiration from the COVID-19 epidemic is to prevent diseases from upstream, instead of waiting for the occurrence and severity of diseases before going to the hospital for treatment.
Zhong Nanshan said that according to the data of Healthy China Action Plan (20 19-2030), non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, tumors, chronic respiratory diseases and diabetes accounted for 88% of the total deaths, and the resulting disease burden accounted for more than 70% of the total disease burden.
