Question: Will river pollution be serious enough to be harmful to our health? Yes, it will do great harm to our health.
(1) The river is polluted, which affects the fish and shrimp in the river. If people eat contaminated fish and shrimp, they are easily poisoned.
(2) The peculiar smell emitted by drinking water will affect people's respiratory function;
(3) It is easy to breed mosquitoes and infect viruses.
Improvement measures: Through our group discussion, we think that the effective way to clean up the river is:
(1) Publicize and educate all residents on the importance of water to us through media, television and lectures, and advocate residents' awareness of caring for the environment and protecting water resources;
(2) Lead the sewage from the factory to the sewage treatment plant, purify it by the sewage treatment plant, and then discharge it into the river through the drainage ditch; (3) Clean up the floating objects on the river regularly, set up some billboards on the river bank to tell people not to litter, and set up more trash cans on the river bank. With enough trash cans, people will not litter;
(4) Regularly check whether factories and families discharge sewage into rivers, while others order them to clean up, and implement the policy of "whoever develops protects the water and whoever pollutes it will treat it", and take turns to treat the water pollution problem, so as to turn this sewage-filled and stinking river into a clear and blue river, so that it can flow continuously and make contributions to the people.
