Guangxi Medical School was founded in 1972, and has gone through the development stages of Chinese herbal medicine training class affiliated to Guangxi Medical College, Chinese herbal medicine school affiliated to Guangxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Guangxi Medical School. The affiliated health school of Guangxi Maternal and Child Health Hospital was founded in 1965. College is the only higher vocational and technical college of medicine and health in Guangxi at present. The college is the national training base for nursing professionals in short supply, the Guangxi General Practice Education and Teaching Guidance Center, and the training base for health professionals in Guangxi township hospitals.
