In order to strengthen team building and improve the overall quality of staff, our library has formulated a series of corresponding rules and regulations from the perspective of management, which has laid a foundation for doing a good job in popular science.
In order to implement the "Popularization of Science" and the "Outline of Action Plan for National Scientific Literacy" and make better use of the existing resources of the Science and Technology Museum to play the role of popular science base, plans and plans have been formulated, and work plans, implementation, inspection and summary have been made every year, and all work has been carried out in an orderly manner.
First, strengthen the hardware construction of popular science education base and create good environmental conditions for popular science publicity and education.
Ningxia Science and Technology Museum attaches great importance to the construction of popular science hardware facilities, and 1999 invested 400,000 yuan to renovate and decorate the permanent popular science exhibition hall and comprehensive exhibition hall. The existing exhibition area is 1600 square meters, of which the permanent popular science exhibition area is 600 square meters and the comprehensive exhibition area is 1000 square meters; Permanent popular science exhibitions of basic disciplines such as sound, light and electromagnetism. With the strong support from all walks of life, Ningxia Science and Technology Museum has added new exhibits in recent years, including exhibitions on scientific and technological knowledge of petroleum industry and petrochemical industry, knowledge of animals and plants, knowledge of geology, earthquakes and meteorology, 3 1 piece donated by popular science train westbound to Ningxia Science and Technology Museum and nearly1piece developed by itself. In 200 1 year, nearly 2 million yuan was invested to set up a popular science electronic screen, and popular science propaganda films and video production equipment were updated one after another. In 2007, we invested 600,000 yuan to set up Ningxia Youth Science Studio. Especially with the care and support of the Party committee and government of the autonomous region, the new building of Ningxia Science and Technology Museum is in full swing. These hardware constructions not only meet the needs of popular science under the new situation, but also push the popular science work to a new level.

Ningxia Science and Technology Museum has always taken paying close attention to the work of popular science exhibition education as the basic core, giving full play to the function of popular science education base. Since 200 1, with the care and support of the Association for Science and Technology of the Autonomous Region and relevant departments, and with the joint efforts of all the staff, the permanent exhibition has been open to the public for an average of 250 days every year, with an average of 60,000 free visitors per year. In the past six years, 30 special popular science exhibitions have been held, with an audience of nearly 350,000 people, which has achieved good social benefits.
In particular, in 2002, 2004 and 2006, the dinosaur science popularization exhibition, which was jointly organized with Yinchuan Education Bureau for the biodiversity and sustainable development of "intelligent robots" such as "simulated dinosaurs" and "adolescent education", caused a great sensation in Yinchuan area, and the main news media in various districts and cities reported the above activities continuously, which was warmly welcomed by the general public, especially teenagers. In recent years, Ningxia Science and Technology Museum has earnestly implemented scientific development according to the social and economic development situation. Grasping the theme of economic and social development and social hotspots that people care about in time, and combining the theme of the annual Science and Technology Week, we held popular science exhibitions such as "AIDS prevention", "hygiene and health", "innovative country" and "energy conservation and environmental protection", which effectively publicized and popularized the theme of national economic and social development and popular science knowledge closely related to people's lives, and received favorable comments from the public.
Second, actively contact science and technology museums in other provinces and cities to carry out large-scale exhibition education as much as possible.
According to the spirit and requirements of the Notice on "Science and Technology Museum Activities Entering Campus" issued by China Association for Science and Technology and Autonomous Region Association for Science and Technology, Ningxia Science and Technology Museum, as a pilot unit of this activity, cooperated closely with Ningxia minority popular science teams and anti-cult associations, actively integrated popular science resources with the active cooperation of the education department, and closely combined with the science curriculum standards of primary and secondary schools, actively carried out the work of "Science and Technology Museum Activities Entering Campus". Up to now, we have carried out 15 activities in primary and secondary schools in Yinchuan, Yanchi and zhongwei. Therefore, the activity is closely combined with the science curriculum standards of primary and secondary school students, which can not only enrich their extracurricular scientific and technological activities and social practice, but also stimulate teenagers' interest in learning science, loving science and exploring scientific knowledge, and is well received by primary and secondary school teachers and students. In order to further expand the popular science exhibition education and make the limited popular science resources play a greater role. Since 200 1, we have actively carried out the tour activities of popular science exhibitions, and organized activities such as "opposing cults and advocating civilization", "advocating scientific civilization and opposing superstition and ignorance", "preventing AIDS among teenagers", "hygiene and health", "youth education", "ocean and mankind", "origin of mankind" and "knowledge of energy conservation and environmental protection". Because the topics of the popular science exhibition can reflect the hot spots that the broad masses of the people care about, close to the masses, close to life, and the content is closely related to the real life of the people, it has been welcomed by the broad masses of the people and received obvious social benefits.

This year, we won 600,000 yuan to set up the Ningxia Youth Science Studio project.
