Mental health education is integrated into daily teaching. Mental health problems are often hidden and sudden, and more active preventive measures are needed. School is the main front of education. Strengthening the construction of school mental health courses and improving students' mental health literacy from the source are conducive to preventing mental health problems as soon as possible.
The Action Plan proposes that primary and secondary schools should carry out mental health education in combination with relevant courses, and colleges and universities should offer compulsory courses on mental health, with two credits (32-36 hours) in principle. Only by giving full play to the role of classroom teaching, helping students master mental health knowledge and skills, and establishing self-help and help-seeking consciousness can we better educate and guide them to establish correct values.
2. Pay attention to mental health.
Building a professional team of mental health teachers. At present, many schools have the problem of "attaching importance to academic performance and neglecting mental health", lacking mental health education textbooks suitable for front-line teachers and students' mental health appraisal management courses.
The Action Plan clearly points out that schools should be equipped with mental health teachers. Every school in primary and secondary schools shall be equipped with at least 1 full-time (part-time) mental health education teachers, and colleges and universities shall be equipped with full-time mental health education teachers according to the teacher-student ratio of not less than 1: 4000, and each school shall be equipped with at least 2 teachers. This means that we should pay more attention to the actual needs of teachers when we are equipped with mental health teachers.
On the one hand, it is necessary to improve the quality of personnel training and strengthen the construction of top-notch student training bases in psychology, applied psychology, social work and other related disciplines.
On the other hand, teachers' development channels should be unblocked, and a teacher's professional development system linked with the qualification system and title system of mental health education teachers should be formed, and teachers of mental health education should be regularly trained in vocational skills, which will provide strong support for the continuous strengthening of the construction of mental health teachers.
