The so-called vaccine is an attenuated virus (except rabies vaccine, which is used to put out fires). After special treatment, the virulence of the virus is weakened, which is not enough to make animals sick, but it can activate the immune response of the body and make the body produce antibodies to prevent the virus from invading, thus producing the ability to resist the virus.
Vaccine immunization program:?
Puppies are vaccinated for the first time 45 days after birth, then every two months, and regularly every year after adulthood. Premature inoculation of maternal antibodies will neutralize the vaccine, affect the immune effect, consume antibodies, and have a counterproductive effect. If it is too late, it will not guarantee health.
The specific schedule of immunization:
The first multiple injections: 7 ~ 8 weeks after birth.
The second needle is multi-linked: 1 1 to 12 weeks after birth.
The third needle multi-linkage: after birth 15 ~ 16 weeks. At this time, we can inject rabies vaccine together.
Before the first dose of multiple vaccines, the Dutch Interway puppy vaccine can be injected on the 28th day after birth.
Lyme disease vaccine is recommended to be injected at the same time with the second and third injections.
Those who have been injected above will be strengthened once a year (the specific immunization procedure depends on the vaccine used).
Precautions for vaccination:
1. Please go to a regular pet hospital and let a professional veterinarian do it. Many non-professionals are not standardized in the preservation and use of vaccines due to their lack of professional literacy, which is easy to make vaccines lose their immune effect.
2. Because the vaccine is weak, dogs can be immunized under normal circumstances, but this is based on the health ability of dogs. If the dog's immunity is low or insufficient, the vaccine will not only fail to produce effective protection, but the original attenuated vaccine will even fight the disease. Therefore, before vaccination, doctors need to check the dog to ensure that your dog is healthy before vaccination.
3. Because the pet's immunity will be weak in an emergency, animals are not suitable for immunization in a stress situation. The change of living environment or food is a kind of pressure for puppies. Therefore, we will encourage dogs to get vaccinated after getting familiar with the new environment for half a month.
4. Antibody is an immunogenic globulin. When the body is malnourished, such as vitamin A or E deficiency, it will also inhibit the normal protein synthesis of the body, thus reducing the immune response.
5. Because the immune ability of dogs will first decrease and then increase after vaccination for a period of time. In order to protect the pet's health, don't bathe the dog, change the environment, change the food and take the dog out to play within one week after the injection. It is generally recommended to take them out for a walk after complete immunization.
6. Within three days after vaccination, oral antibiotics, anthelmintics and other drugs may also lead to immune failure.
7. It is normal for dogs to have problems such as elevated body temperature, mental depression, loss of appetite and pain after injection. It usually takes about 2 hours.
8. Vaccines may be allergic. Although the probability is low, it can still happen. If the whole body itches and the face is swollen, you need to inject desensitization needles. Therefore, after vaccination, you need to observe in the pet hospital for half an hour to ensure that there is no problem before leaving. If there is any reaction in the short term, you need to see a doctor in time.
