On the evening of February 20th, A.D. 1722, Kangxi, who was in office at 6 1, died in Qingxi Bookstore, Changchun Garden in the western suburbs of Beijing at the age of 69. Emperor Kangxi, who was 69 years old at that time, was always in good health in the eyes of ministers. Why did he die suddenly? In my opinion, Kangxi died of illness, because 69 years old has exceeded the average life expectancy in ancient times. As a busy emperor, it is not surprising that he died at the age of 69.

According to the records of the Qing sage, since the winter of forty-seven years, "I got up early, my hands shook, my eyes were blind, my heart was pounding, and my face suddenly changed." From this record, we can infer that Kangxi has been suffering from diseases, senility, weakness, old vision, shortness of breath and other common symptoms of senile diseases since 47 years.

It can be seen that Kangxi was originally unwell, so he practiced in Changchun Garden. When Kangxi died, it was sixty-one years ago. That is to say, at the age of 55, before Kangxi's death 14 years ago, he was in a bad state of chronic illness, and as an emperor, he was overworked. Judging from his record of several attacks, he may have a heart attack.

It was the winter in Beijing when Kangxi died. In June 5438 +065438+ 10, Kangxi went hunting in Nanyuan. Nanyuan Hunting Ground is now Daxing Nanhaizi Country Park. However, when Kangxi returned to Changchun Garden the next day, he was cold.

On his deathbed, Kangxi was still dealing with state affairs, which made Kangxi, who was weak, unable to get sick and Emperor Kangxi's heart was not good. Cold and long-term fatigue led to a heart attack. Even if he is the emperor, the doctors have exhausted all the panacea, and they can't save the day.

1722 At about two o'clock in the morning on February 20th, Emperor Kangxi's illness suddenly worsened, and he immediately ordered Yin Zhen, the fourth son of the emperor who was presiding over the sacrificial ceremony at the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, to come here quickly. An hour later, he called his ministers and soldiers, led Longkodo to the imperial couch, and publicly announced that Yin Zhen, the fourth son of the emperor, would inherit the throne. At eight o'clock in the evening, Emperor Kangxi died in the bedroom of Changchun Garden.
