Necessity of health education for the elderly

In the changes of world population structure, the trend of population aging in developing countries is more noticeable. At present, China has entered an aging society. With the increase of the elderly population, the health problem of the elderly has become increasingly prominent, which has become a striking social problem and has attracted great attention from the state and health decision-making departments.

The correct understanding of the elderly can be divided into three stages according to the advancement of age, namely 65? 74 years old is premature aging, 75? 84 years old is middle age, and 85 years old is old age. In these three age stages, the physical function and behavioral characteristics of the elderly are * * * the same, but they are also different. With the increase of age, the functions of human organs and tissues are declining. Psychologically, the elderly's sensibility, perception, intelligence, problem-solving methods, understanding, learning ability, emotional response under normal and stress conditions, pressure on family and society, and adaptability to the environment are also gradually declining. Sociological analysis of the elderly believes that according to different cultural backgrounds, the elderly have their own roles and unique rights and obligations. The different life experiences of the elderly are the accumulation process of experience, which should interact with the society with the change of age and social role. The improvement and change of social economy, the political system, the degree of social civilization and the handling of interpersonal relationships have all played a role in accelerating and delaying human aging.
